I'm assuming that you mean codes created using WiiRD.

Yes, you can easily convert them using GCNcrypt. At least, the ones that I tried to convert worked.

Hi, I have wii version 4.2u(which I can downgrade if nessecary because I have the required stuff),homebrew channel with gecko os, and gecko(whats the diff.?).
Do I need an sd media luancher like sd gecko or usb gecko, or do I need to burn any data to a disk?
If so, please let me know me, thanks for helping me out.  ;)

To play GC games with codes on a Wii, you need a USB Gecko, and a way to load the Gecko OS burned disc. (GeckoOS GC iso)
But yeah, you're going to need the USB Gecko to do this stuff.

Could you tell me what to burn or where I can find the gecko os iso for burning, I have Imgbrn ready. Do I need a dvd-r or what kind of burnable disc? I'm kind of bad at this stuff but thanks anyway.  ;)

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=OPMUV2ZL

When you download that, you will have all 3 Gecko OS GC versions (US, PAL, and JAP) burn the respective one.

Dont forget, you NEED a USB Gecko.

Burn with IMGBurn using DVD-R, and load in wii using GC Backup Launcher. (Google)
*Dont use for illegal stuff :D*

This is awesome and I must have, I can load GC backups and burn the Gecko OS GC disc no problem.

Now I need a USB Gecko but the problem is, I don't know where to get one.

Any one know? eBay and Amazon don't seem to have any and google didn't do much for me.

Also can you tell me why I need a USB Gecko (What does it do) and do I have to add anything to it once I get it (like the codes for example)?

Don't buy a USB Gecko if you just want GameCube cheating.  WiiPower has an app under development which will enable Ocarina cheats for GameCube games; no USB Gecko is needed.  There's actually already a version floating around the Net with this functionality, but because that version supports booting backups, I'm not sure if I should link to it here.  The non-backup version will be released on this forum when it's ready.

i cant get this to work with my original Super Mario Sunshine ntsc-u gamecube disk all i get is a screen that says loading disk then i believe it loads then after that by game boots.i have the mios installed v5.  what am i doing wrong. i am using the homebrew channel loader to load my game.

That version sounds perfect since I have used superdumper to backup my game cube discs and hid them from my cousins so they cant steal them, but I'll take cheats any way I can get them.

Though it may be ok to PM me the link? :D

Don't you guys worry, a new gamecube cheat sorce is coming to www.geckocodes.org and then you'll be able to cheat gamecube games on wii alot faster right through gecko. When this is out it will tell you how, just wait untill they finish.   ;)

The non-backup version is released; see http://wiird.l0nk.org/forum/index.php/topic,5823.0.html for details.  Make sure you thank WiiPower for all the hard work that went into making it!

Hopefully, it'll work with Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes, Collector's Edition of Majora's Mask, Star Fox Adventures, and other games that crash due to the ARMax's "hook."

I have repeatedly tried to get it to work but to no avail. I have system menu 4.2u. is there any other apps that can modify the mios instead of the one provided in the video? or some advise on how to bypass it ???
