Can someone give me or port this code for Pal please? This is the code I'm after, and I can't find it. Looked in pal codes, done a lot of googling, and googled "Set Smithy Req Materials to" PAL, but could only find NTSC.

This gives the item codes, so if I want to craft everything with barrel bomb small (they can be bought cheaply so it's a good item to use) do I take the code given and replace both sets of ?? ?? with 0001? That's what I gathered.

I'm trying to understand what you mean. That's the same code I pasted, do I need to port it? Or doesn't it need porting?

Edit: Oh, small difference. So I know how to port in future, what exactly did you do? Just edit the 5th 6th 7th and 8th character to...?

He's saying add 0x64 to ______ to port it to pal. 0xAE8+0x64=0xB4C.

On another subject.

On youtube I was getting some help regarding a talisman hack. I was trying to make an Evade+7 2slot charm in slot 400 in the item box, following the video, but it didn't work. The code started with 4A000000 90000000 which is meant to work on PAL.

Credit to olan231. I am not sure if he was the original creator of the code, but he didn't reference anyone so I'm assuming so.

It gave me a 2 slot talisman with no skills, and a defense jewel in the slots (I looked at the digits for defense and I couldn't find them in the code). I asked for help and someone sent me a PM. Here it is http://pastie.org/2948046

I tried their code and it gave me a talisman with no skills or slots. I've messed around a lot with this, however, when I told them the result 2 weeks ago they haven't replied, so I assume they don't know, or feel they have given enough advice.

Anyone have any ideas? Even though it starts with 4A000000 90000000 which is meant to work on PAL, it doesn't seem to have the desired effect. I'm trying for an evasion+7 2slot talisman.

Anyway, since people seem to have trouble with this and weapon mod codes, I was working on a gui that would produce the code for you. Well it was mainly because I wanna be lazy when making new weapons. I haven't made to much progress yet though :/. I "announced it a while ago in the US thread. Don't worry, it's not a dead project. I just don't wanna manually input so many values, so I'm hoping I can upload a dump somewhere and let the page get the data from it. Hopefully I'll finish it by the end of the year asap. idk if weapon mod codes are the same for EU, but at least the tali codes are. But for now, look at Skiller's explanation at the bottom of that link.

I'm a little tired. That's why I didn't bother looking at the code :/. If I fix something up for you I'll edit this post or reply.

Talisman's skill points don't always correspond to the skills in a fixed way like that ^ The addresses get shifted depending on how many slots there are. I made some notes about this here: http://wiird.l0nk.org/forum/index.php/topic,5501.msg74853.html#msg74853
Having a 2 slot talisman would mean that both SKILL1 and SKILL2 won't be read for actual skills, you need to input the skill at SKILL3.

ah I knew there was a good one somewhere. I have to thank you for that. It's more readable, imo and I'll be using that to code the tali creation part of the mod code gen. It even gives me an idea of how to set up the variables. I think the skill 3 thing was mentioned in the US thread at some point too. I know I never had trouble with that code.

Thanks so much everyone. Now I can follow that format for any other b-skill +7 2 slots, and thanks to the explanation I'll hopefully be able to make others (I also got stuck on a 3 slot talisman, but this should help).
I assumed because it was a god charm it would be a dragon talisman.

@Stuff that idea sounds great. Very useful. I lost the Ceadeus long sword when I used my first hack, and it's only obtainable once. I've messed around spawning it in the item box, but what you're suggesting would do it for me.

I feel like I've asked for too much, but what part of the code makes it in slot 400? 400 in hex is 190 right? So as that isn't in the code, what puts it there? Just because I plan on hacking lots of talismans, and it would be useful if I could do them all at once, so change which slots. Is it easy, as in just changing a few digits, or should I just do it the long way?

Edit: My first hack was all weapons, which removed all my old weapons and talismans. I sold all except the ones I already had because I felt guilty, and it took the fun out of it (it also resulted in me having a lot of zenny O_O), but it also removed my talismans. I had some great talismans, like my Evade+6 1slot and my 2 3 slot charms. I had lots of talismans that now made sets not work. Now that I have a way of getting them back, I've gotten a little greedy, but unlike weapons which require the skill of killing monsters to get, talismans just come through several hours of mining in the high rank volcano, so as long as I hack legit talismans I don't feel bad, and still enjoy the game. Thanks for the LS hack.

Those slots you see on screen correspond to some specific chunks of addresses in memory when the game's loaded, and slot 400 on screen just happens to occupy addresses 900E2624~900E2624+B, slot 401 is 900E2630~900E2630+B, slot 402 is 900E263C~900E263C+B, and so on... those 3 slots look like this in RAM:

Any help? When I converted 10 to hex it gave me A, so I input that as 0A. Was that an error?

its been a wile .. but if i remember its turn 17 to hex and then u will have a +7 item .. and so on ..

@Stuff about that little program .. good idea .. i was a long time ago trying to get the guy that built the Quest mod App to intergrate Code making .. but in the end it fell threw .. and he never added it .. could be doto both of us not having much time .
