No, charm type doesn't matter except if you decide to go online.  You can use Pawn through to Dragon and it won't change anything.

Edit: as to not repost again lol.  I just made this for myself, I'd say easily the most important talisman ever lol.

Autotracker + Capture Guru Talisman with 1 Slot

4A000000 90000000
140E2618 06010004
140E261C 14190000
140E2620 00360049
140E2624 00000000
E0000000 80008000

That is beyond awesome, and I agree that those two skills make life easier.
My personal recommendation would be "Evasion +2" and "Evasion Up".

I made one of those, and probably would never take it off.
Thank you.

Couple questions:

Can you make charms with two bonuses as well as three slots?

What is Handicraft and FreeElement?  I can't find descriptions anywhere online about them >.>  At least, I'm not seeing them on the wiki at all.

Skiller

I don't know why but I can't connect to here unless I use a proxy or my phone.

iv fixed up the eqipment codes with the level and stats adding sections

Apokolypse

As of right now, only 2 skills with one slot is possible, any more slots and it overwrites the skills. As for handicraft and freeelement, handicraft gives you the sharpness+1 skill which gives your weapon one more level of sharpness, which is AWESOME. Makes alot of weapons into white sharpness, some even purple. Freeelement gives you the awaken skill, which releases a dormant element on weapons which have none. Basically, if your using say..ravager blade, which does no elemental damage, with awaken it will add elemental damage. Each weapon has a predetermined element and number. Its a HUGE plus. Most nonelemental weapons tend to have a higher attack to try and balance the two, so a nonelemental with awaken has a big attack AND elemetal damage. My two personal favorite skills =)

Also, a quick question. Have any luck with getting the monster size mod working? Or a monster kill modifier to modify how many of each monster youve killed in your log for titles and such?

dagarath

Endersblade, read my post... if you need more information... maybe leave it to the professionals lol.

Burgess

Sounds awesome :D Oh and Skiller mind taking a look at my question in the PAL monster hunter tri thread?

Keep up the hard work everyone! :P

Regarding Argon's add to defense and Skiller's add to attack, have you guys looked into making it only taking effect during missions so no one can see that you have ridiculous attack and defense while in the tavern?

Again... to remind you and all the others these codes are only designed for offline use.. so I highly doubt Skill or Argon will be doing any work to Toggle defense for that reason

Actually it doesn't matter, you can't view someone's attack and defense online.

EDIT: Remember that the slots always take precedence, if you put in 2 slots instead of 1, the first 2 modifiers are GOING to be slots and not stats.

I bet armor works the same way and that's why skills deco slot mod is acting so random for the time being.

Suiseiseki

well, maybe the charms only have a 2 slot limit.

I think armors have an 8 slot limit if you decide to modify them (kinda similar to MH2 skill modifiers)

Apokolypse

Charms/Talismans can be up to 3 slots, dragon only i believe. Ive found 3 dragon talismans with 3 slots, but no skills. I believe its a 3 limit. Basically, 3 slots no skills, 2 slots 1 skill, 1 slot 2 skills or just 2 skills. Armor..ive never seen more than 3 slots, and I have every piece of armor in the game..so I dont think 8 is really an option XD

dagarath

Ya 8 is a non option, previous games don't really make any sort of useful comparison.  This particular game only has a certain amount of information per item, that's all there is to it.

BTW: Argon this code works great for stopping time but Z+1 does not work to end the quest.

Infinite Time Arena and Quests [Argon]

Highly doubt it, from previous experience with monster hunter games.. armors stats, just like decoration stats are hardcoded into the client.  To change those stats you would literally have to modify the client. You can however modify the END result (what stats are received) but that has absolutely nothing to do with the armor itself, or with the decorations.

I already mentioned this, and he already responded.  read back a couple pages.  I haven't tested his new code out yet, though.

Yeah, I mis-read his post.  See the hex numbers now, time to get modding.

Yea.. well tried it, didn't work also.  This codes totally bogus as its stands for ending a quest.. works well for giving max time tho  :D
