Im so happy! I actually was able to remove the October 23rd update, and can run homebrew 100%  :) Also, I was bale to get starfall to work, and I blocked updates from coming in! I dont think that I will ever update to 4.0, seeing how much it kills homebrew,and seeing as I finally got my wii to downgrade properly to 3.2!

4.0 really isnt that worth it, unless youve got a tonne of wiiware/vc games

I updated anyway just to see what the Wii Shop Channel was like. The only thing the 4.0 update did to my Homebrew was disable Gecko's Rebooter with its new IOS thingie. And the latest Gecko OS can run multidol games without that now, so there was no problem for me updating. As long as Gecko and Dragon Media Player run, I'm fine. :smileyface:

I have a question about Waninkoko's 4.0 updater. I have a 3.3v2U Wii if I update using this will I be able to use something like the rebooter or other apps that dont work on 3.3v2 or would I have to downgrade to 3.2 then go 4.0?

Yes you will, well only one i know that works is WAD manager, but i havent tried anything else. Starfall wont work because its a new menu i believe.

Is it possible for someone to use the Twilight Hack to get HBC when they have the 4.0 firmware? One of my friends was considering getting the HBC, but he has the 4.0 update.

I want this update but my concern is that with the 3.4 update Nintendo can update your system without you knowing. That comes with the 4.0 update, right? And if WiiConnect24 is turned off wouldn't that stop them from doing what they want?

i hope it does and anouther way to stop updates is turning off internet

Um, I am ADHD, so I need all the explanations to my questions in one neat little post if ever possible. I apologize for my lack of patience. ^^;

I have only softmodded it. The only things I have are HBC and two Gecko OS's and savestate loader/unloaders. If I update my Wii, will I still be able to hack Animal crossing, and use codes for that and other games with my SD card?

And if I update to 4.0, will I be able to hack VC games without the danger of having to downgrade my Wii? (Doing lots of fancy stuff like this to my expensive and beloved Wii makes my brain feel like teeth rubbing on a dinner plate, since I am generally poor.)

Again, sorry for asking anything that was already asked... I just need special explaining at times.
