WLANUSBgecko would be great ^^ The USBGecko has a USB Interface; someone could try to solder a WLAN Interface (Gateway) and the IC needed for it (see WLAN USB Stick *victim* hehe :-))
My USB Cable is 2.10m long lol
If I remember correctly... it already takes a good bit of time to search through the game's coding with it connected by USB, and that's on a very fast computer... Using WLAN would take waaay too long, it wouldn't really be worth it. i thought the speed was limited by the wii-side(idk how it was called) not the USB, so i think it wouldn't make that much of a difference. Really? So its possible it could be added?

Well, to make it sort..
performing USB Gecko operation using a Wi-Fi protocol would be possible.. however, let me point out the obstacles:
-the internal Wi-Fi would be hard to use.. it wouldn't work in Gamecube mode and the Wi-Fi stack is huge.. fitting that in our tiny 4 KB code handler.. no way! Even GCNrd for Gamecube which used the broadband adapter required 32 KB of memory for its LAN handler -it wouldn't work if the game uses Wi-Fi -additionally: all Wii games reset Wi-Fi upon boot (most likely some Nintendo SDK stuff), a few even completely disable it! -Long USB cables work.. several devices dislike long USB cables, I tested the USB Gecko with 10 metres (30 feet) it is working fine.. other devices like for example a FlatMii do not work you'd need repeater. -Wireless USB Repeaters exist and they should work.. however they are horribly expensive!
Other options like: USB cross-over.. Ethernet.. all possible but both USB and Ethernet require big protocol stacks while the USB Gecko is simply a high speed serial port where you can directly address the output pins.
We simply do not want the code handler to be larger, we're absolutely happy that we're having a code handler which is sitting in a memory area so far NO GAME uses. Which is a great advantage over the old GCNrd (not that I criticise GCNrd, GCNrd was an absolutely perfectly designed, great application) which had to reside in the memory area 817F8000 to 81800000 and sometimes interfered with the game's file list or similar things!

Okay....I have a question...and I know I am probably not even posting this in the right place but...here I go....
I am totally new to hacking...I have not even really hacked before....on ACCF all I really have is the LiteSaber...I can't walk on the water or anything...
I need someone to explain the homebrew channel or something like it so I can subscribe to it on the Wii...and tell me how to use it....would someone on here PLEASE be able to do that...I want to hack sooooo badly....
Thank you!

@Bethany, no I don't think a USBgecko is quite right for you... on the other hand you might want to check out some youtube videos. There are ones out there even specifically for using codes on ACCF but on youtube you can find out how to get homebrew channel too. It truly is a valuable resource.... that and google. I think you might be able to find both guides in the video section on this forum.

I Have someone willing to sell me their unopened USB gecko because they got it as a gift but never really wanted it so what I was wondering was... Can this still be fully taken advantage of on Wii systems updated to 4.1 or was it really only meant for the older versions? Would I still be able to use it for EVERYTHING it's capeable of or will some functions be useless on 4.1? I'm also using a newer PC with WinXP Pro and my Wii has HB, Gecko OS, etc.... Thanks in advance for response

USB Gecko dumping with dumpers.. will work.. so basically: yes, you can use a USB Gecko!

I'd like to know where I can actually buy the USB Gecko. I have a feeling GameCrazy (and most standard game stores) don't sell this device.

I have never seen an "offline store" to sell USB Geckos.. you need to check online.. unfortunately the Geckos are out of production so at some places you won't get them anymore!

USB Geckos are out of production.. thus.. well, while they still can be found.. it is indeed difficult.. a friend of mine frm USA was unable to find on in US now, we found one in Canada for him. Where do you live? Maybe we can't find a store in your country anymore but if you have no big problems with importing, maybe a close country still has one!

"Connect USB Gecko to become invincible"
LOL, thats really funny, cause it actually DOES make you invincible. Just copy paste codes XD. But to make codes is hard. i just got mine yesterday and I have been searching the net for tutorials.
