Yep, I have heard some good reports about the installers listed on that page.  Tona's version even adds the signing bug into IOS51.

hey i got a quick question. sorry if i sound noobish. i only use ocarina and the wad manager. so far my ocarina loads fine after the update. i havent used my wad manager in forever and buy most of my vc still. is it safe to say this update wont affect me using ocarina?

It may break the Rebooter function, but that isn't really confirmed.  I'm guessing that GeckoOS/Ocarina should still work without any problems.

If you updated to the latest firmware, and do not have a Custom IOS, then the WAD Manager will no longer be able to install anything.

rebooter does not work. I updated and it doesn't even hook on my injected channel version.

i used ocarina with mario kart earlier it seems to work fine. if the wad manager wont work anymore ill deal i ended up buying mario rpg, secret of mana and mega man 9 anyhow.

thanks for the quick reply.

im sure if i actually took time to learn more about homebrew i could but im just too lazy lol.

hetoan2

it's not bad if you only want ocarina, but people that use custom IOS's and other homebrew stuff that needs installation will be left out since not enough people updated for the coders to care enough, and everyone else just has the updated version.

I can't believe someone on gbatemp said wad and downgrader still worked even though they dont for anybody else -.-

[/sarcasm]

what i can't believe even more was that i couldn't wait long enough for a simple work around and instantly thought about my massive amount of wii points left >_<

Read this, if i read it correctly... it installs the latest IOS but without the fakesign fix

Yes, the version (at the bottom) that was made by Tona will install an IOS51 that has the signing bug present.

So any idea of how to change the updated version to an older one? :(

If you do not have waninkoko's custom IOS then right now you're SOL!

i suppose if you manage to brick your wii you could go back to 3.2 with savemii but i dont know how you could without wad installer or anything to install >_<

so basically unless you have patchmii or cIOS you cannot go back.  I'm in the same boat so we can only hope that the coders remember the people that updated and at least rework the downgrader to work with 3.3v2

What are you having problems using?  Unless the homebrew application(s) that you are using makes an attempt to modify your System Menu, or install anything to it, they should still work.
If your talking to me, that was a typo in my post.

Everything still works on my homebrew channel, just not my homebrew browser. :P

Is there a way to fix this?

I just got some a new e-mail in my wii saying for a new update. the e-mail said that it wii automanically get rid of files that are not nessceary, which gives me a bad vibe that they know about the USB GECKO. So I was wondering if anyone has already updated their wii and do they yet still have the homebrew channel?
