Hmmm Well What comes up is a black command screen and It says Error and exits off.

Java one is platform independent, so I tend to like it better.
Exe came out before the java one but then I kept being told that the exe didn't work unless they had visual studio. So I ported it.
They're identical aside from the java one doesn't have a custom app icon.

I'll go turn on my old computer now and see if I can find the java source.. I might have made it on my hosed laptop though so it could be gone forever.

Thanks for doing this, All I really want is to play my wii with some GC codes and Use it to play sonic adventure battle 2 with hacks :P
(I did everything else for it to work now All I need is working codes..)

I can't find the java source.

The java runtime environment could be installed wrong but I have no idea. The jar works on my windows 7 64bit machine.. *shrugs*

Good luck

I'll see if I can figure out which vcredist it depends on and then let everyone know.

Judging by the manifest that was lying around, if "AR to WiiRD.exe" doesn't work for you, then it looks like you might want to install this

Oh sweet... Thanks dcx2!

@hetoan2: You were what? Looking for the java source?
I could try to boot up the broken laptop and see if it stays on long enough to get the source off of it. Since it wasn't on my desktop, it's gotta be there..

hetoan2

it's okay if you can't. i just thought you were asking who in particular had asked you for the source. which i did a few months back

Found the java source:

http://gcn.jaytheham.com/ARtoWiiRD.zip

I released it as .9 because of the missing codetype conversions. The program is pretty brute-forced and probably no clever tricks... So it should be really easy to digest. But that was 3 years ago so don't judge for the nooby programming. lol
If anyone tops off the project, just please leave my name as part of it.

edit: The java app was built in NetBeans so if anyone wanted to pull up the project, doing so from NetBeans might be smoothest.

Hmm, I have it working on Linux 64-bit, and with the latest Java too (1.7). I'll have to try it out on Win7 if I get a chance to see if I get the same errors.

EDIT: Seems to work for me on Win7 as well; with both a 32-bit Java (1.6u26) and a 64-bit Java (1.7). My only guess would be to uninstall, then reinstall Java.
Currently "retired" from hacking codes.

@James0x57 - hi there. It would be nice if there is an existing program (much like GCNCRYPT) that would convert SNES Action Replay codes to Wiird. If not, is there a chance of seeing one in the future? Thanx.

This program wouldn't work, because porting SNES PAR codes to the Wii require you to find an offset which is unique to each game.
A Hacker would have to port the codes manually, (which is a pretty simple process.)

Depending on the game, you could PM the codes, and the game(s) names which the codes belong to, to me and I could give it a go for you.
-Currently hacking the following game(s):

Request a code via PM, if you wish.

A little question:
I have the Gecko OS Gamecube-Version and I'm able to run it, now, when I put a sd Gecko with a SD Card that has those codes in the gct format on it in the Memory Card Slot B of my Wii, will I be able to use the cheats?

No, the GameCube version of GeckoOS does not support SD cheats, and uses a very old code handler.  Use NeoGamma; it supports SD cheats for GameCube and uses the latest (1931) code handler.
