Hello.

I'd like to know how to use WiiRDGui with the USB Gecko in the COM port.

Thanks!

If you need more information:

It is a Virtual COM Port connected to Dolphin with USB Gecko in Slot-B.

You're probably not going to get any support for Dolphin here.

You'd have better luck going to the Dolphin support forums and asking around there.

Regardless of who referred you here, we still do not offer support on Dolphin!

(Or any backup launchers for that matter.)

The people who created Dolphin should be able to offer support with their application; it should be a well-known fact by now that this forum does not support unauthorized backup loading.

Alright.

This is my question:

Is it possible to use WiiRD with the USB Gecko in the COM port?

Theoretically, yes.

I'd assume you'd need a driver, or an app that would re-route the data from the virtual COM port to a USB port.

However, I've never tried this, and dunno how to do it myself.

Yeah that's what I thought.

Alright. Guess I'll search for it again.

I'll post if I find anything.

After a long and hard search, I, personally, think that using USB Gecko from Dolphin with WiiRD is IMPOSSIBLE.

Post if you think anything different.

Well, since WiiRD and Gecko.NET were coded to work with a USB port, it's likely that it probably won't work.

Unless a dev from Dolphin can/has released information as to how it should work, there's not much we can say or do about it.
