Totally new to this..

I just need a little startup set up and i think i can take it from there.. I just want a couple of codes for Xenoblade (reset level and a couple of other things). I tried reading the sticky and im confused on what program(if thats what they're called) to use so i can start applying codes to my game.

Can someone give me a few tips to get me started off?

Edit: I have a relatively brand new wii (I'm not sure on the technicalities i can find it if necessary)

you need the homebrew app gecko os 1.9.3.1 and the homebrew channel installed.
