Stalking Hack

I got the idea to create a stalking hack.
It´s a code that reads enemy coordinates and teleports you to that spot (plus adds some float to Y Coord to stay above the enemy).
The difficult part on it would be player switching. I press a button to switch the enemy I´m currently stalking...

Let´s assume the following:

Hook: 800939A4 lfs f0,416(r3)
Button Activator: 28443A7A YYYYZZZZ
Empty RAM: 80001500 - 80001600
r8 = 804BC3D8 for player 1 break

My idea behind it was to run a counter that adds the offset between player coordinates in RAM to an unused address.
My C2 code should then grab that offset, add it to the destination address and read that new address´ value(s).
Once it reached the maximum offset, reset back to 0 (or back to enemy 1 offset).
That would result in stalking a different enemy by button press. But there´s a problem.
If I don´t want to specify an enemy maximum, my code would probably read from an unused address...

Since my break executes for each "active" enemy in that area, there´s a way to auto-detect max enemies for the whole hack.
Anyone who can provide coding assistance? I need a good strategy to do this. It surely isn´t an easy code to make, but it´s awesome. ;D

I don´t have an account on hetoan´s.
And I DOUBT you made it with changing players and without a very long code that has all single direct ram addresses in it.
Actually, you can´t do it efficiently without ASM.
