Thomas83lin - thanx so much and looking forward to that 'alternative' codes. All that I'm really after is the infinite banana coins and longer time for diddy's rocket.
Here you could start testing so i'll know to continue or not.

Wanted to help out however I could.

I've tested the B-button code (B For Pound Down-B for Blow B+Directional for Roll) and it works perfectly.

I'd love to see a way to get it to the point where the 1 button could be mapped to run/roll the way the SNES games were.

Which ones are you all working on now?  I'd be happy to help test more remapping codes.  Even with the B-button hack, I still think the game's control scheme could use a little work.  But I'm more than happy to help to help however I can.

You testing the Alternative Codes. I've converted all of my codes

The alternative codes work for me - I tested the B button hacks. The original codes didn't work for me. :)

That would indeed be awesome! I can dream the original DKC controls and I used to run/roll all the time.

you just have to edit the existing codes to get somewhat this effect. This is for the Alternative code set. its not really playable like this though

What exactly does this do?  What does it do in conjunction with the B-to-roll?

hmm it appears using that long code string and the alternate b button codes seems to also make the 1 button act as the  roll function and the b button is used to pick stuff up instead of 1... b is also used to escape the pause menu as 1 does nothing..

I just tried that long string of code (without adding the B-button stuff) and the game just crashed... =/

EDIT: It crashes when I do the long code strong WITH the B-button stuff as well, at least when trying to enter 1P mode.  Trying now for 2P.
EDIT 2: It crashes for me in 2P mode as well.

Does the 1 also work as run?  How would you run in that control scheme?
For me it crashes right as you enter the game before the "clouds" loading screen that precedes the world map.

it sortof acts as both run and roll

That's kinda perfect.  Any ideas why it's crashing for me at the clouds?  Could you just attach your .gct file?

People there appears to be two different code sets,  One code set if your using a legit copy another code set if your using a copy. its very confusing at the moment. This seems to be the reason for the codes not working for some yet work for others

GolfDude

my b button is also getting used to grip vines.. very odd... 1 wont grip them..
