I still can't get em to work.
Maybe it's because I had daunt assigned to Ike? But it still doesn't work when I remove daunt.
Anyone else successfully tested this code?

g6flavor

Maybe those codes are based on the getting all the characters in the game, if one of your character got killed or you missed 1 character, those address might changed. So, try an address b4 that character or after that character and see if it works.

I don't know where the B4 value for button came from, didn't see that value on the button values page. But try this value for L+R button on the GC Controller
R 0020
L 0040

so, L+R = 0040+0020 = value 00000060 (L+R on GC Controller)

Thanks for the tip I'll give it a try.

I wasn't very clear back there the 0000B400, 000000B4 and 0000B4B4
codes work, It's the others (from the link) that I can't seem to get working.

I'll check back in when I get done testing

edit:
I tried several codes both up and down with no luck.

I've got all the characters and have not missed any. I am on the chapter: the heart of crimea. In that chapter many other characters show up as guests. could that have anything to do with it?

g6flavor

Have you level your character up to lv20 yet? Gain 1 levelup after reaching level20, they'll change class.

TyDoMaster

I've tried that too. I lvl Ike up to 20 with Bexp and then I try to give him some more and it won't work. I've also tried getting him to lvl 19 with 99 exp and taking him into battle, still does not work. I tried assigning button codes to it (the ones I can get working) and still nothing. I've also tried assigning Ike some other skill but that didn't work either. I think it may be that all the characters from part 2 are in that chapter and they may be messing things up.

Any other suggestions?

And thanks again for the help.

g6flavor

Try use the codes without using any button activator, if you've already tried that and it didn't work then maybe ShadowX39 might be able to answer that since he's the one who made those codes.

Okay, I just tried this on Part3, Chapter 7
Remove Ike's non-promote skill
0488A4F4 00000000

and Ike Changes Class from Hero to Vanguard after level up from lv20, otherwise you won't gain any more exp points after reaching lv20, so the code does work.

@ShadowX39, I know that each button address for each game is different and for each game the Gamecube Controller and the Wii Remote button address are of course different.
The button address you posted early should work for all buttons on the GC Controller as I tested.
But, I still don't understand about the each button has it's own address kind of thing you guys are talking about.

Gamecube Controller All Buttons Address
283D78A8 0000xxxx
[put code(s) here]
E0000000 80008000

Wii Remote All Buttons Address
283D78DA 0000xxxx
[ put code(s) here]
E0000000 80008000

Couple codes I ported from the (J) version:

Level Up Stats + Mod
0406D324 386000xx
xx = 5 mean +5 on Stats, 9 means +9, etc...

Level up Stats Categories Mod
0006DA77 000000xx
xx= 1 to 8

Sorry for the late reply, but I'm here now..

The remove non-promote skill should work the second you get the character, the second Micaiah promotes to the next tier with the code, the second non-promote should work right there. As a test, could you try doing the make Micaiah an enemy by changing her player-controlled address at the end to 3C instead of 30? If it works, then I have no idea why it's not working. Try it with Ike also, these codes should all work for Normal 16:9.

Also g6flavor, those button addresses aren't going to work for the gamecube control. For some reason it has it's own button address for it, while the wii remote solo uses the normal ones.

Thanks it's ok, people work you too hard.

Anyway I found that none of the Ike modifiers work for me on any of my save files. but then I only have one save file in part 3 ch 10 and the rest are in part 4. I also discovered that all my Soren codes affect Boyd. What's up with that?

TyDoMaster

I've recruited everyone, lost no one, and have not used codes on this file before.

Could it be that there are a bunch of green units in the chapter that I'm on that I've had on my team before?
Such as Geoffry Lucia and Kieren?

Also how did you know that Boyd is three character spaces away from Soren? Is there a fixed increment that separates Character addresses? And that Exp list would be the guide as to which order there in.

If so then if I recruit an NPC they will occupy the next available slot and the character that would normally go ther ewill be moved one slot down.

Is this right?

I'm sorry I ask so many questions that have probably been answered before, but I'm having a really hard time wripping my head around the codes in this game.

Thanks for all the help

Check my base value post at the bottom of page 23, (most) characters are separated by a value of 3F0. So if you miss one character, the values all go down by 3F0, if you recruit a non-playable character, the values go up 3F0 (not sure on the last bit).

g6flavor

@TydoMaster, gamefaqs lists all the characters you could get normally in the game. If you have gotten all those characters then the codes should work.
http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/wii/code/932999.html
And double check youe Wii Resolution Setting in the Wii Menu and make sure that it's set to 16:9 not 4:3

After some testing (I think I've finally got this thing down) I found Ike's No promotion code at 0488A8E4. exactly 3C0 away from the original code. Weird huh?
Well at least now I've got a system of testing codes down. Hopefully I'll be good from here on out (don't quote me on it though  ;))

Thanks to g6flavor ShadowX39 and Darker Samus for all the help.

By the way what was up with the button codes? I still don't understand a thing about how they work like: "Where are the addresses for B A and the other buttons?"
Well I guess I still have a ways to go, but at least my current problem is no more.  :D

That should be 3F0 away for each character not 3C0. It could meant that you have missed 1 character or gain 1 extra character (using codes or Easy Mode), that's why the address is shifted.
And for the Button codes, there no need to look for address for B A buttons:
This address will work for all buttons on the GC Controller:
Gamecube Controller All Buttons Address
283D78A8 0000xxxx
[put code(s) here]
E0000000 80008000

Just replace xxxx with the Values from the Button Values page
ex. use 283D78A8 00000200 for B button on GC

One more code ported from the (J) version;
All Items in the Character's Inventory becomes 99 after any usage of any item or after equip a diferent weapon
04111C68 38000063

TyDoMaster

Yeah I meant 3F0
Thanks for the clarification on the button codes too.

If i want to use that gamecube button activator code for make enemies player controlled code, how can i make it so that when i press the button again they will go back to normal? i tried putting the CC000000 00000000 after the activator but it didnt work. any suggestions?
