That code appears not to work on Ceadeus. I've hit him several times and he has yet to be repelled. BTW it worked on Lagiacrus, but not Ceadeus.

Hit him in region 3 or it will not repel him.

Hmm..is there anyway to find out what parts are breakable via gecko? That would shed some light on decap if its possible. I cant find any info anywhere. I might ask on the capcom forums or something.

i might be able to find something there should be something that has a Flag thats set when u cut something off and so on..

there should also be something that is the % of how hard it is to do ..
i might find it now that im working in the ENemy section .. Just need to hold up a bit :P

Correction, the code does not appear to work with the initial repel quest. After you repel him he can be defeated with the code above. At least that's how it seems.

What's this about decap? I doubt that Capcom made something like in the game.  If they did, there would at least be youtube videos on it.

How the story goes, once upon a time there was a game called Monster Hunter... and there were rumors of this amazing feat that was next to impossible to pull off called decapitation.  First of all, those who know of decapitation were those who actually did it, second of all it is by far the hardest thing to do in the game.  If by chance decaptitation IS still in tri like it was in the original, its probably easier to take on 3 Deviljho with a toothpick than to decapitate, people who make youtube videos do not have these kinds of required skills.  

From what I am hearing though, decapitation doesn't seem to be active in this particular version. Of course I have a strong feeling IF it is in, nobody who has access to the weapons capable of it, have the skill required.

Decapitation was real, I have seen it with my own eyes as I laid the final blow with a Mutilator Blade on a high rank los in the original game. It was absolutely amazing, and something to definately behold...but I fear it has been replaced with the KO ability.

ugh ok, what exactly made decapitation so hard to trigger?  How did it look like, did the head fall off cleanly or did it explode?   Also, people who make youtube videos are the same as anybody else, you could have very skilled players or noobs.

Sorry you are right, I am just a youtubeist (hate people who make youtube videos).  I am sure there are plenty of massively skilled players who also bake cakes as well.

Edit: forgot part of the reply lol.  The head fell cleanly in the place where it was slashed, the body just slumped down in place, instant death so the wyvern didn't have much possibility of movement (its not a chicken).  Heads don't explode on MH games mr troll.

it was so hard to trigger because you needed a full sharp weapon, and massive patience.  Most of the time you would run the timer down to 0 before being able to pull it off because you could ONLY hit a specific spot, if you hit anywhere else, Rath (ian or los) would die before you were even able to see evidence of beheading being possible.  I fully believe this is too hard for most players to pull off in MH1, and also that it was possibly never intended for people to know about it.  Like an easter egg hidden under a pile of regular eggs.

I'm pretty much 100% certain they did, the original MHG on ps2 is probably the last game that actually had decapitation as a possibility.  I'm gonna try the wii version of MHG but, chances are it was removed.

Hey guys:
Would it be possible to extract a list of "valid" talisman's from the game? Rather than make crazy custom talisman's (with + 10 to 2 or 3 stats) , I'd like to just make some talismans with the same stats as I'd get if I spent the time farming them up.

If you're not HR31, you can't have a talisman that's higher than a Rook nor can you have anything from skill list 3.

It appears that adding slots to custom talismans that already modify two abilities doesn't work, mostly because a talisman can't modify a third ability.
