Hope some peeps can look at them to help me out . lol

Sorry skiller, had planned to take a look at ALL of these today but I got sidetracked with the whole charm thing, and accidentally corrupting my save file (which never happened, I just switched IOS at some point by mistake, took me forever to realize it lol)

I'll take care of it tomorrow if nobody else has already.

Ya 8 is a non option, previous games don't really make any sort of useful comparison.  This particular game only has a certain amount of information per item, that's all there is to it.

BTW: Argon this code works great for stopping time but Z+1 does not work to end the quest.

Infinite Time Arena and Quests [Argon]
043A8FE0 60000000
043A8FE4 60000000
2865944C 00000024
006C7C98 00000000

I already mentioned this, and he already responded.  read back a couple pages.  I haven't tested his new code out yet, though.

Yea.. well tried it, didn't work also.  This codes totally bogus as its stands for ending a quest.. works well for giving max time tho  :D

Good (and bad) to hear...was just about to test that new one out myself lol.

Also, is this Talisman code for PAL or NTSC?  I have NTSC and it's not showing up (copied the FreeElement/Handicraft one directly from here.)

I think it's getting to the point that we seriously need to break this into two threads:  NTSC and PAL versions.  It's getting way too confusing having them both in this one thread, and nobody bothering to post which version they're for.

dagarath

There are two threads, this is the NTSC one.  Check the 4th page of equip box, its there, slot 399.

Everybody read this page thoroughly:

http://monsterhunter.wikia.com/wiki/MH3:_Charm_Guide

If you are playing online, you can not have Queen Talisman or higher if you're not HR31+, nor can any of the skills that are in your talismans be from skill list 3, you will most likely get banned.

(note: feel free to remove this post if mods find it breaking the rules, I'm just trying to warn people.)

Also, dagarath, I'm not fully understanding your charms code guide.  So if I just wanted a Rook Talisman with 2 slots and no skills, would it be this?

4A000000 90000000
140E2618 06010004
140E261C 19190000
140E2620 00000000
140E2624 00000000
E0000000 80008000

Sorry if I sound mean, but I understood Argon's guide easier than your's.

Also, a quick question. Have any luck with getting the monster size mod working? Or a monster kill modifier to modify how many of each monster youve killed in your log for titles and such?

This could be possible, i'll take a look. I have to do some client based work first or Argon is gunna starve without food lol. Gotta design a lowpoly plane engine for a 3D walkthrough demonstration! :D

Although there is 2 different forums for PAL and NTSC, the codes work on both if they are in the 0x90 region. For anything in 0x80 (ie any codes that do not have a first line starting 4A or 42) then you add the following offsets to make them work.

PAL => -64 => NTSC
NTSC => +64 => PAL

Me and Skiller are working on lots of these requests but its often easy to loose track of which version said code was for.

Apokolypse

Ok, thanks Argon =) Those are the last 2 things I really want now, a size mod and number killed mod =) Oh..and something to get the JP only weapons, but I doubt thats possible haha XD

Argon

Ok so,
PAL
042A6C0C 40800004
042A6C4C 40800004
042A6C3C FFFFFFFF
042A6C5C FFFFFFFF

NTSC
042A6BA8 40800004
042A6BE8 40800004
042A6BD8 FFFFFFFF
042A6BF8 FFFFFFFF

Monsters are larger than normal :D Im still fiddling with this so its not perfect at the moment

if i can log to the site when i get home today i will post the Kill codes ..

if not i will Send them to Argon to post for me .. its very odd i can login for every place Except from my home PCs lol

i was goin to make a ASM code that when u killed one u get 10 or something . :P

Burgess

Yo skiller, reckon you could check out my problem with spawning a black harvest in my equipment box? it's on page 22 of the PAL codes thread.
Thanks.

And Argon the monster enlarger should be good :)

Apokolypse

ok Argon, ill test that out when I get home, and thanks Skiller =) I tried your monster log code a while back and saw it gives you every monster registered, so I assume it shouldnt be too hard to just edit the number killed =) the +10 things sounds great too.

EDIT: Remember that the slots always take precedence, if you put in 2 slots instead of 1, the first 2 modifiers are GOING to be slots and not stats.

I bet armor works the same way and that's why skills deco slot mod is acting so random for the time being.

Highly doubt it, from previous experience with monster hunter games.. armors stats, just like decoration stats are hardcoded into the client.  To change those stats you would literally have to modify the client. You can however modify the END result (what stats are received) but that has absolutely nothing to do with the armor itself, or with the decorations.

I'm not talking about the armor stats, I'm talking about the way the decoration slots work.  The mod as is allows for 3 decos for piece but they don't work properly, sometimes only 2 or 1 apply and I was suggesting the slots may be being overwritten by something else (similar to charms).  Just try out the deco mods on a set of armor and see if you can get 3 on each I think you'll get what I'm talking about.

RiDeR_Mx

I'm level 15 what  armor and weapons I can use used without being  banned  sorry my English is not good   :'(

No... it is REALLY straightforward lol.. my guide even gives you the possible options for everything except the skills.

4A000000 90000000
140E2618 06020004
140E261C 00000000
140E2620 00000000
140E2624 00000000
E0000000 80008000

This would be correct for 2 slots no skills.

I see what you mean, if I were to guess I would say the actual control for the visual of slots is not in that code lol.  I wouldn't be able to figure anything out without seeing a side by side comparison in memory between an item with slots and an item without slots.

Right I'm not talking about the visual slots, it may only show 1 slot or deco but you can look at the stats and see that 2 or 3 decos are being applied.  You'd just have to try it out to see exactly what I mean :)  And yeah most likely it can't be figured out without looking at the item in memory either way so I'm just waiting for skiller to iron it all out or post some screen shots.
