i have an ntsc wii and i use ntsc codes wth gecko os and i input them from my computer i also cant boot to channel for some reason.
(doesnt appear in gecko for some reason and i want to cheat old games fer fun :()

some codes arnt working at all for new games like no more heros 2 or NSMBWii even though they say "codes found applying".
(codes still work for older games like SSBBrawl though)

how may i fix this?
(if need be, ill go into complete detail of how i originally hacked my wii and everything ive done since)

You need the trucha bug enabled IOS36 to use Channel cheats.... Try using trucha bug restorer :P

and what hooktype are you using for the wii games? Try OSsleepthread

Arc Ray

i usually have the hook type set to default

goemon_guy

I find that the VBI hook tends to work alot.

Request a code via PM, if you wish.

What do you use those hooks for anyway?

James0x57

Same reason you use a hook when you go fishing, so you're in control as soon as the game bites.

dcx2

A hook "intercepts" the game's execution so that it can do the things we want it to do.  The different hook types specify which function we want the code handler to intercept.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hook_%28programming%29

If you use the wrong hook, the game won't "bite" because the function you hooked isn't run, or the function is hooked incorrectly, or it runs too often.

Which version of Gecko OS are you using?
