Does Gecko OS 1.9.3 Ocarina work with 3.0u firmware?

Hello,

Here's my issue. I have homebrew installed, just put the latest GeckoOS HB channel on my SD card and it boots up my game (Super Mario Galaxy US) just fine. Now when I use Code Manager 1.2 to load a single code from the official site (infinite lives) and follow the instructions, it saves it to the data > Gecko > Codes folder. Now, when I enable SD codes in GeckoOS it says it recognizes codes, but then crashes every time, giving me an "exception occurred" and "stack dump" error. I've tried it numerous times. The Wii has never ( :o ) been connected to the internet, nor has the system menu been updated from the factory 3.0U firmware. I'm imagining not many people have such old firmwares. A friend and I actually tried updating it via WADs on SD cards to no avail. I've done many searches for others with similar problems, so now I'm explicitly bringing it up. Could the old firmware be the issue, or is this likely a problem with the GCT file generated by Code Manager?

Cheers for any insight.

I am using GeckoOS 1.9.3 on the 3.0U firmware, and have not experienced any problems like this.  I have never tried channel loading, but everything else seems to work fine.

Thanks for the quick responses (I'm running a legit game disc). Sounds like it's likely something with the cheat file and not the firmware  :- No, I actually haven't tried any other games. I'm attempting to get all 120 stars right now so I'm sort of fixed on Mario. I suppose that's the next thing. What is the latest version of the Code Manager, by the way? I saw the link here but Rapidshare is being stupid today, so I picked up the 1.2 version here. I suppose the next step is to see if the Wii code manager can do it as opposed to the PC app.

EDIT: the Code Manager 0.6 won't even run in Homebrew. It crashes with the black screen and lots of code dump. Grr...
EDIT 2: Just tried some random codes for Zelda: Twilight Princess. Game loads fine, and the codes work :- Looks like it just doesn't like that game, darn.

For anyone interested, codes DO work with the game. Just not the 99 lives code  :( Perhaps I should contact someone at GeckoCodes.org and let them know. At any rate, case closed *he says as he flies around and jumps really high as skeleton mario  O0*
