I have searched a while for a timer code for Super Mario 64 on Virtual Console. Yoshielectron has made one for N64, but I don't know how to "port" the codes to VC.
The timer is so I can compete in Single Star Speedruns. So if anyone could make this timer code possible, that would be appreciated!

If this helps, here's the original Gameshark code by Yoshielectron:
81249688 A03B
8124968A B25E
8124DC7C A1A0
8124DC7E 00EE
8024B197 0040
81249690 0000
81249692 0000

I've noticed quite a few codes such as moon jump and infinite helath do not work. Any explaination for this? o.0

No explanation is needed. I did the Moon Jump code and I just re-tested it and it works fine. I didn't do the inf health though, but i tested it also, and it works fine two. So i'm not sure what your problem is.

Whenever I load either one it just has no effect. Is there an unmentioned button activator or something that I'm missing? Cause it seems the only two codes that work for me are Unlimited health and debug mode.

thats strange cause GMO's Unlimited health and hetoans infinite hp are exactly the same code. i wonder why Gmo's works but hetoan's doesn't.??

Infinite HP [hetoan2]
011A539E 00000008

Unlimited Health [GMO]
011A539E 00000008

I'm using the classic controller, its the regular jump button. A i believe

Perhaps that's the problem? I'm using a Gamecube controller.

I didn't realize GC controllers required different codes... this might explain some of the problems I'm having in Kirby 64 too.... Thanks. :D

I noticed a code for SM64 VC was ported from a Gameshark code. How can I do this? There are many Yoshielectron codes I'd like to use here. :p

I... have no idea what you just said. :p

Deathwolf

example:

gameshark code:
04263847 XXXXXXXX

u need 2 dumps of it.
one of your gameshark code game and another of your game you want to port it.

open your dump.bin file of your gameshark game and go offset [80263847]
now hex editor will show you some instructions.
copie the first 8 bytes [XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX]. then open the dump.bin file of your game you want to port. just search now for your instructions.

the new code would be:

wiiRd code:
04264927 XXXXXXXX

I think I get the general idea but I still don't fully understand. I wanna do this but I've never even used a hex editor. :p

Well... I've made a few Action Replay codes for Super Mario 64 DS. But only basic things like object swappers and button activated size mods. :p
