Wii Ripper

I want to use my Gecko to extract games from the Wii into ISO. Everything I've found said you need to install a WAD file. I downloaded the WAD several times and it will not install. I have update 4.0 is there an issue will Wii Ripper and update 4.0? I have HBC working great. Any help would be great thanks.
