That's strange, because I've used Unrestricted Pause Camera, Overlapping and unlimited stage builder parts and all my stages play just fine online and offline. Maybe it's because you traversed certain menus during the time of using your codes? Because the ONLY menus I traversed during the period of using the codes were Brawl and the Vault (only stage builder of course, NEVER went to replays or anything else until I shut off my Wii). Also, how would I back up my save? You can't save it to your SD Card, I really want to though just in case XD. Who knows, maybe Giga Bowser did it? But, I kinda doubt it. I have a feeling it's the stage builder codes, as said by Link, those codes DO cause freezing in certain menus.

I did access my music with the giga bowser and unrestricted camera once, to increase a song on FD, which was the Giga Bowser song, i was doing that for a replay.

then later i went on with the custom stage codes to put the FD music back to how it was before i changed it for the replay, that's when it froze.
I turned it on without codes to try again, froze.

It wasn't until today that I found out the stages freeze on wifi, and also offline, except for Final Destination.

@Heinermann and smk. I'm sorry, I understand. But has anyone tested or tryed to modify his codes, since he can't? I'm not good with making codes.

Can you look at the P1 Character Modifier code and see if the code itself is overwriting the data that causes the freeze?  I'm pretty sure it's the P1 Character Modifier code, and that code was the only code I had on when the music/stage select screens froze.   And this was on a fresh Brawl save that didn't have any other codes used, ever.

@Murray  Sandbag is coded as an item this time around, and master + crazy hand are coded only as bosses.. sorry.

I don't mean to be a bother, but I feel I've been overlooked concerning my previous post.

Would it be possible to come up with a code similar to "unrestricted pause camera" but instead have it be "unrestricted replay camera"?

It'd be great for people making videos in-game if there was a way to do this, because we could get many different angles instead of the default.

All players do not need the code. However, the game chooses a player randomly to select a stage, so to have 100% chance of playing the custom stage, all players need the code.

All players must have the stage. Before going online, all players must play a normal brawl on the custom stage you wish to use online. Failure to play the stage before going online may result in freezing, disconnects, or desyncs.

To activate the code, select the "Random" button on the level select screen. You will see it pick a level at random, but it will really choose the last custom stage you played on.

This code should not work when playing "With Anyone."

This code, as labeled, is a test, meaning it may not work. Please report back here with the results of using this code.

Works like a charm, and I've ported it to my version of the Stage code already (Though obv. I won't be posting it.)

I tried that, but no luck. It seems to be separate from the pause menu one.

When I tried it, the first time, my friend just got black (he doesnt have a homebrew enabled Wii), he could move around and stuff, but couldnt see anything, and the second time it went to a custom map, it broke sync with the game and on my end it looked like a match, but on his end, it went to all black and when you spawn, you fall to the bottom and die

I don't see what you could of ported, all that code does is change the random button into "a stage" in the variable.


That being said, you can use that code to play any Stage online. (Not it's intended use, but I like to experiment with changing codes that I know what it does. (and It works fine))
