Geckoos won't let me wifi

Hello everyone

I have been using the homebrew for several weeks with no problems and today I decided to venture out some more and try using the two other hacks. When I used the ocarina it started my wii in Dec 29 2000 so I read some stuff and decided to try geckoos. The few codes I tried worked but now I can't open my gates and invite or go visit any other towns. What am I doing wrong and did I ruin my wii/game. Am playing Animal crossing city folks. Thanks for any and all help

Steal Furniture code deliberately disables WiFi because it can work on other towns, try loading the game without it on.

If you don't have said code on however, I don't know what the problem is.

Yes I do have that code on so I will give it a shot with it off. Thanks a bunch.
