Gecko OS boot error?

When I attempt to start up Gecko OS (Version 1.07b) from the Homebrew Channel, It displays the Gecko OS border, with nothing inside but a small green Gecko symbol in the bottom left corner. The Wii becomes unresponsive (reset and power don't work) and it never enters the Gecko OS menu. Any ideas on what's wrong?
