Quick query regarding WiiRd Pause/Next feature

(Yay, first post).

Forgive me if I have posted in the wrong board, I couldn't see one that sounded more appropriate.

In the WiiRd GUI there is the Pause option, then the 'Next' button. Pressing this button triggers a 'Command Cycle', so I'm told. What I understand is that the game jitters a little bit forwards but not much so.

Now my question is simple - what does the button actually DO? When I first heard about it I thought it would provide the ability to play the game frame by frame. However, I'm fairly sure that it's running through more than one frame each time I press the button, but I'm not quite sure what's going on. Can someone say exactly how it works?

The game in question that I'm using is Super Smash Brothers Brawl, if that changes anything. Thanks for any help.

Hmm, I'd like to know this too.  I recall that GCNrd's "Next" function was equivalent to Run, followed by Pause 16ms later.  But I'm not sure how WiiRD does it.  Would be nice to know.

It does just what biolizard said.
It does a run followed by a quick pause(X ms).
You can change the amount of frames to skip in the options, less frames = less time skipped.

Hi - thanks for the help so far. I checked it out quickly, and I'm not sure what I should be changing to what to make it do a frame each click. I'm probably making some kind of moronic mistake from my lack of experience (and admittedly I didn't experiment much at all, my friends were too busy trying to actually play the game).

I thought AFAP or AFPS or whatever it is would stand for 'a frame a pause/per second' or something similar. It didn't seem to do that. Or maybe it did and I didn't notice.

Anyway, the more important thing is the thanking part. I'm sure I'll figure it out soon enough, it was a pretty dumb error to begin with ;p.
