I looked for a FAQ that explain me the options, but I can't find it.

Someone can explain what the options doing? For example: 'VI' what means?

Config Options: - allows setting basic options:

    • Boot Lang: Allows you to override the game language. Interesting to see games in different languages - just one note: first-party Nintendo games most likely only contain the language for your region (Japanese for Japanese version, English for North American version and English, French, German, Spanish as well as Italian for European). However, many second and third parties include multiple if not all languages (typical example: SEGA). The option mainly exists for import users: if you try to play Mario Galaxy Japanese on a US Wii for example you'll have to force Japanese language - the game wouldn't boot with default settings on NA or EU Wiis.
    • Force PAL50/PAL60/NTSC: Again this option is mainly focused on imports - and maybe European users. By default, Gecko OS boots European games in PAL50 mode while NA and JP games are booted in NTSC mode. However, if you want to change that (many EU games work fine in NTSC games while many NA/JP games work fine in both PAL50 or PAL60) for your TV, feel free. Another thing: some EU games (Mario Galaxy and Brawl) do not work properly in PAL50 mode so switching to PAL60 here will help!
    • VIDTV Patch: Sets the so-called VIDTV register - I won't explain what it does in detail.. try tweaking around with it if a game does not boot at all - the old Ocarina always had that one disabled
    • Hook Type: Again.. I won't go into complete detail.. try tweaking around with it if a game does boot but cheats do not work. However, VI (the so-called video interrupt) should mostly work. The hook type is the option how Gecko OS connects to the game to hack it - Ocarina always used VI.
    • Ocarina On: Enable or disable cheats
Rebooter Options: - allows setting rebooter options - rebooter is a feature Gecko OS 1.07+ contain. If you press B in the Gecko OS menu instead of A for selecting a menu point, Gecko OS will reboot your Wii and will bring you back to your Wii menu. While this looks strange.. quite a few games do not work in Gecko OS natively (Red Steel for example) but using the Rebooter trick they do.. it also goes that far that normally in Brawl you can't cheat the VC demos - if you started Brawl using the Rebooter it works. However, there's even more to it:
    • Recovery Mode: Boots the system menu into recovery mode.. meaning.. black screen.. shows menu version. And only so-called autoboot discs work.. if your Wii is unmodified, this mode is completely useless and just for looking at it once!
    • Region Free: Allows playing imports from the Wii menu (like the Freeloader)
    • Remove Copy Flag: Allows you to copy savegames from the save manager which normally couldn't be copied (Brawl, Mario Kart Wii)
    • Button Skip: skips the "Press A to continue" health screen.
