Nunchuk disabled

I noticed that in wii sports I cannot even use the nunchuk. I connected it before and after it says to connect it for boxing and it fails everytime. I unplugged my usb gecko and it still doesn't work. My nunchuk is not broken cause I can use it for the same game through usb loader and disc channel. Why would gecko os be acting up and disabling my nunchuk?  ???

btw, i have the latest version of gecko os - 1.9.3.1... upgraded from 1.9.3

I vaguely kinda sorta remember something about the nunchuck not working once...I think it was with Wii Sports Tanks.  I will try it again at some point.
