I bought a US NTSC copy of zelda Twilight princess to play on my japanese Wii (so that i could understand the story). using geckoOS the gaem loads fine, but i do not get any sound through the tv at all, no music, sound effects, nothing, only the sounds that come from the wii remote are audible.

is there a fix for this, and if so where and how???

It is a known issue on the NTSC versions, and it is unknown as to why it happens.  The same thing happens on my NTSC Wii.

I've never understood why some people bought a japanese wii.  Wasn't it released in american before it was in japan?

i bought a japanese wii, because i live in japan there buddy. i want to play certain games in english hence me buying us games.

So, its a known issue, does that mean that nothing can be done about it, does it happen with all US ntsc copies, any solutions, or am i doomed to play it with no audio???

seriously??

and this happens on all US ntsc copies of zelda tp that are played through gecko region free?

in that case, what about if i got hold of an Australian PAL version of the game, is there an issue with that version as well when playing it through geckoOS?

There is some homebrew application called menuloader v0.5 and this can boot imports.
