Help With Texture Hacks

Helo first off I want to say that, even after reading through all the Wii/Wii Game related sections, I honestly have no idea which 'help' section to put this topic in, since it refers to using the actual hack type and not the game (Super smash bros brawl) in question. Seriously I did look at all of them this time...and I'm not sure where it goes

Okay now on to my actual question. I've seen some pretty badass texture hacks and I would like to know three things. I like doin lists so yeah, you'll get a numbered list.
1:How exactly (if possible in a simple "step-by-step" type method) do I exploit these texture hacks, stage hacks etc. In other words, what exactly do I do to "use" custom textures and other things in a game period, let alone Super smash bros
2: I kinda want to get into this texture hacking thing myself, particularly with super smash bros brawl. Could you lemme know what the easiest if not the simplest (note that I said simplest, not the fastest) method/program to use for creating texture hacks.
3: Any advice, like seriously 'advice' for beginning texture hackers would be awesome.
