The version of geckoOS  is 1.06d and with Gecko Region Free 1.5 I get the same result.

I had the same problem with the US version...it is a GECKO thing appearantly...I think it has to do with the multi game functions...hopefully Nuke can figure it out...I have seen some posts with reference with this same problem on some GC games also....dont have the links at the moment though...
No matter where you go...there you are...

this game has more than one .dol file.  the first dol, is loaded by geckoOS when the game is first booted, contains the game menu and HOTD3. HOTD2 is on a differend .dol. loading multiple .dol files is not supported by geckoOS

Thanks for the replies i read that issue in the Red Steel thread (and the coming possible  solution :love), at last the game have only 2 dols and I can play  HOTD3

My thanks to the creators of the GeckoOS :clap

Nuke

this is a multi DOL game like Red Steel. They just need master codes.

Multi DOL means the main.dol will jump to hotd3.dol or redsteel.dol but once that happens you get problems, this is because the hod3.dol etc will overwrite the main.dol memory which are all loaded to 0x080004000 in memory.

can be sorted

I sure would like to know how WiiRD finds the hook. Mainly so I could figure out how to hack the master codes for a multi dol.

Nuke

there is a write hook code type, so makes it easy.

btw if you have a mod and trucha, i have a neat tool which can write the handler and cheat engine and write a hook into the dol files.
