One way to solve that is to use Button Activators.

sometimes button activators make it worse so i wouldn't say this is true, but in some cases they help. for brawl characters it's good, for changing stage mid battle it just makes it worse

If games freeze up, check:

1. are your codes compatible to new Gecko OS versions? Several codes had to be fixed
2. did you activate so many codes that your savegame has died? Then you've won!
3. Gecko OS is incompatible with the game!

For checking:
-run game in disc channel.. if it freezes - you have case 2. If it runs.. fine.. let's check cases 1 and 3
-run game using Gecko OS in all availible modes (Ocarina DISABLED).. if you can't get it to run (at least rebooter should work): then it's case 3.. if the game does run: then you have incompatible or simply too many codes activated!

on red steel randomly when i play it freezes the code is unlimted health ammo and one hit kill for pal

I'm not sure if it's the same for PAL or not, but all of the NTSC codes for Red Steel by brkirch require you to use Rebooter.   Also, I was having a problem with some of my pointer codes freezing the game when I changed levels.  Once I added DE000000 80008180 to the code, it fixed it right up.  This code is for pointers and ensures that the pointer is in the memory space of 80000000 to 81800000.

Hey, I am able to use Gecko OS to enable and use cheats in Wiiware games just fine except for one. Doc Louis's Punch Out freezes everytime Doc throws the 1st punch. I have to shutdown the Wii.

There are only two codes health and stamina. I'm wondering if it is a bad wad since the other games work. I have tried all options and I just can't stop it from freezing.  I am using the newest Gecko OS and the codes are from the Wiird site:

Anyway, the codes seems to have too much lines, but another codes should try to fix them.
