@Shad : The item creation codes DID work for me via Ocarina on the PAL version. I don't think it would differ for the NTSC version anyway so I guess the many freezing problem come either from too many codes, too old a version of Ocarina or wrong code entry. Also, everyone who's trying to use the "Sothe" item creation should re-check it since it's quite clear now that it actually applies the modifications on Volug not Sothe.

(GHT)

Why not activators for specific characters? It doesn't have to be "control anyone." You could just do bosses like Sephiran and Izuka. Maybe it'll be possible to do non-important bosses now, like Veyona the Druid boss.

timotty

Ive managed to get ashera, izuka and sephiran now with ocarina cheat system. I cant seem to get the item creation codes to work though. i want to give ashera movement and max out every one's stats!

Arudo

Actually I did some fiddling around with Am's Item Creation Code. It works for me, but I need to use WiiRD and GeckoOS to run it.

1. Attempting to make an item with nothing in your inventory will crash the game.
2. Items that have hex values that have quite a large gap from each other will crash the game.
i.e. Making a bronze sword into Speedwing = bad idea.
3. Safest way to make this work is kinda like 'equal exchange'. You want a silver sword, but you have an iron one? Fine, no problem. You can change an iron sword into silver without a hitch. Don't change it into an axe or book though.
4. So as long as you have items of the same kind, you can change them into the same kind.
Which is why I bought a bunch of herbs/vulneraries and changed them into the stat boosters.

All i used for item creation was the elfire, elthunder, elwind and elight magic tomes for the item sacrifice. They worked for eveything i created. I used ocarina.

@Arudo : That's some weird findings :/ Really, it never ever happened to me and I use both Ocarina and WiiRD (depends if I want to be on the computer or not at the same time)... I'm curious though as to how the game can act that way... ô_o

(GHT)

I changed Ike's Ragnell into a Rewrp staff once LOL. There was no problem (excpet that I couldn't trade it so Ike could only use the Urvan XD)

(GHT)

So the button combo thing is out?

OK

g6flavor

I think he meant the Button Activator address code has been posted?

I'm not too sure myself, but it was fairly picky with which item was in the slot at the time... so I had to make sure they were within the hex ranges. I know some items are able to become others... like some swords to lances to axes or something, but others I think if the hex difference was too large, would crash the game.

Also I tried it with no items in slot 1 and that would crash as well.

Also I used the Sothe item creation code for NTSC and it still applied to Sothe... strange huh?

Anyway, I would like some help regarding how to find the values for character item slots... that way I can play on 4:3 screen or the other difficulties and still be able to hack it. Thanks.

an All Items x99 in Convoy would be nice, and should be easy to make.
And could someone convert these (J) code to the (U) version?

See the difference? The second pic is me adding Miracle to Ike, before that skill is Nihil, then Aether, and Shove with the 83C at the end. This code's not that hard to understand after a few tests, you can see how Ike's status code is up there too, the one that makes him an enemy or player-controlled, 6C is being at the base. You can find the values for skills by looking at Sephiran's or whoever's skill's addresses(how I found Mantle's) and put it in Ike's skill address. You can see how there's more skills Ike has that you aren't able to see..I'm guessing these are for wielding Ragnell, etc. Still lots of tests to do! *breath* ;)

This f***ing rox ! Imah gonna play that game a fourth time with these codes :D. I never had the idea of looking for them but that's some great idea you had there (again). Thanks a bunch ;)

Okay, this may sound a bit technical... These calculations were made using Ocarina alone. (hence why they start with 02 or 04 instead of 00 (because they're 16 and 32 bits codes))
A character's item slot 1 is located 20000BF away from this character's EXP adress (I'll give examples later) for the US 16:9 version. I don't know about the 4:3 but I guess it's the same. If not, try 40000BD away (that's the PAL-EU version in 4:3)
A character's item QUANTITY slot 1 is located C1 away from this character's EXP adress whatever the version (from what I've noticed so far)

Both item modifier slots and item quantity slots are separated by 28 (hex) from each other.

Here's an example :

Ike's US 16:9 EXP adress for normal difficulty (I think... it doesn't matter !) (for ocarina (=code))
0088A4AF

Say you look for Ike's slot 1 quantity modifier, you take 0088A4AF + C1 = 0088A570. Which means that if you want to have, say, 99 of Ike's first slot item (an Iron sword, whatever), you should enter the following code for Ocarina :
0088A570 00000063

Clear so far ? Right, now you want to transform that crappy Iron Sword into, I don't know, a seraph robe, you should take Ike's EXP adress and add the value I said earlier : 0088A4AF + 20000BF = 0288A56E
Therefore, the code for Ocarina would be :
0288A56E 0000A3A0

And there you go, Ike's got Seraph Robe in item slot 1. Don't forget to set a quantity as well to avoid any bug.

Now that you've got these two adresses, finding the other slots is fairly easy. Just take the adress and add 28 to it :
Ike's item slot 2 modifier
0288A56E + 28 = 0288A596
Ike's item quantity slot 2 modifier
0088A570 + 28 = 0088A598

And so on. I hope you got it.

By the way, I've been meaning to give you guys this for some time so now that I have it opened next to me, here goes :

CHARACTER'S EXP ADRESS LISTING FOR THE NTSC 16:9 (US) VERSION
*Note : 13(14 ?) adresses untested. Presumed being Janaff, Ulki, Sigrun, Tanith, Skrimir, Tibarn, Naesala, Sanaki, (Pelleas), Stefan, Oliver, Bastian and Volke (and Black Knight). Order unknown. Lack of 9(8 ?) adresses : (Black Knight), Caineghis, Giffca, Kurthnaga, Ena, Renning, Nasir, Gareth and Lehran.

See how the order is screwed ? Well it can't be helped... But at least it is not altered by the difficulty, only where the whole list starts and ends.

Neo Shadow

Well for the status, as far as my testing go, the adress is located either 11 or 12 away from the EXP adress, depending on the status :

[CREDITS TO WHOEVER FOUND THESE, can't remember who but I don't remember finding them myself so...]
-11-
00 = Stone - 1 Turn(Or Normal, Depending on your condition)
01 = Sleep - 2 Turns
02 = Sleep - 4 Turns
03 = Sleep - 6 Turns
04 = Shock - 1 Turn
08 = Shock - 2 Turns
0C = Shock - 3 Turns
10 = Shock - 4 Turns
14 = Shock - 5 Turns
18 = Shock - 6 Turns
1C = Shock - 7 Turns
20 = Poison - 1 Turn
40 = Poison - 2 Turns
60 = Poison - 3 Turns
80 = Poison - 4 Turns
A0 = Poison - 5 Turns
C0 = Poison - 6 Turns
E0 = Poison - 7 Turns

-12-
00 = Normal
01 = Stone - 1 Turn
02 = Paralyze - 1 Turn
04 = Paralyze - 2 Turns
06 = Paralyze - 3 Turns
08 = Paralyze - 4 Turns
0A = Paralyze - 5 Turns
0C = Paralyze - 6 Turns
0E = Paralyze - 7 Turns
10 = Silence - 1 Turn
20 = Silence - 2 Turns
30 = Silence - 3 Turns
40 = Silence - 4 Turns
50 = Silence - 5 Turns
60 = Silence - 6 Turns
70 = Silence - 7 Turns

Also, I found that 10 away from the EXP adress lies the place where you tell the game if a character has already played or not this turn. 00 = Haven't played, 01 = Have played.

Arudo

Hmm... well basically I'm using the WiiRD to search for addresses, and I understand some of the basics of it. Since the Exp values are 16/32 bit, I'd set that... and search like... 0, attack somebody, gain 10 exp and then search 10 right? Then once I've figured that out, I should be able to add the offsets to the other slots in order to alter values... correct?
