Ported more codes using the GCN method of porting codes

All But last Hidden Skills Learned [IAMASOMBODY, Ported by Sammature] Untested

Purposely done to allow learning of the last skills and getting around the first yellow wolf by the entrance of the forest temple.

All Hidden Skills Learned [IAMASOMBODY, Ported by Sammature] Untested
0447B040 FFFFFE00
If using this code at the start of the game, you will need the Link Form switch code and turn a wolf to get around the yellow one, by the entrance of the forest temple.

Im not sure if this is correct, but if your using the have all hidden skills code and your in palace of twilight, your stuck there untill you turn the code off. Also it sets the Mirror of twilight so it only has one piece when out. (UNCONFIRMED)

Quote from: Sammature;12146Ultimate Health Code [James0x57, Jokered By Sammature]

Why do you want to use a different button-combination for each Heart?

I hope, this doesn't collide with your ideals in some way, but I've experimented
a bit with your code and the original one from James0x57 and came to a pretty nice solution.

With the following code you can press Z+C+Right to get one more Heart and
press Z+C+Left to loose one Heart. The Health will then be set to be infinite.
This way you can even collect your Heart-Pieces in the normal way and still
have infinite Life:

Note:
- the longer you press the button-combinations the more Hearts you will get or loose
- you can't get less than 1 Full Heart (i.e. you can't kill yourself) with the code as it is here
- this was tested on Ocarina and a PAL-Version of Zelda [RZDP01]
- this code uses Gecko-Register 0, so make sure, that no other code uses
the same register, while this one is running

I still have the problem, that you get or loose the Hearts to fast.
It's almost impossible to get a single heart. I hope someone can
help me with that problem.

On another note, it would be nice of someone, who knows ASM to
compress this code a bit...

I made an item selector code :

Real-time Item Selector
Point an item, then press 1 or 2 to change its value
32480674 00000000
48000000 8048085C

E2000002 00000000
94010000 00000000

Here is how it works : open the item menu (press -), then highlight an item, and then press 1 to increase the item value, or 2 do decrease it (check the Item Values list just above).
Note that the game updates the name of the item all the time, but the picture only when you go out/in of the item menu.

Here is another code, that has the same effect but will also automatically skip any item that hasn't a name (ie. it skips useless items):

Sorry, I didn't see your code...

I will delete my code, so there won't be any misunderstandings.

But I'm amazed, that this works for you. For some reason, when I did it
that way, nothing happend. So I created this workaround with registers.

There was this special line that brkirch told me to put in, it would work without it.. it would just crash. Its the 2nd line if your wondering

Well, if your code works, then there is no problem.
It's just, that I came up with the exact same code as you, but it didn't work for me.
I could poke the address, the pointer is pointing to, just fine, but as soon, as I tried
to make it into a code, nothing would happen.

As far as I know, the second line checks, wether the pointer is in (or points to?) a specific address range
(in your case between 80000000 and 81800000).

Anyway, I'll try your code and see, if it works now (for whatever reason).

EDIT: Your code works perfect. Man I feel stupid, mine didn't work because, I got the offset wrong by a byte.

Okay yes,
Thanks!
Great tutorial from Foxx :)

Are there any more tutorials?
I mean... you even got Bottom combi codes :P (with health)

For what value you need to look in Zelda TP if you looking for you health (hearts) the number of you hearts right? or all that 4 small pieces at heart... or something else? :P

Thanks!

you search for the amount of quaters you have in your hearts. say u have 4 and 1 half, you need to search for the amount of quaters which will be 18 :D

of course in a game with a health bar or something of that nature, simply do an unknown search!

Lose some health, search less than, gain some health, search greater than! Simple!

I tackled speed modifiers and have made a new code!

Super Speed (Hold "2") [Sammature]
28443A6E 00000100
04EF8F64 43000000
E0000000 80008000
This is a very glitchy code. You dont even need to run when 2 is pressed, it does it for you!

Opps, Forgot to make a pointer for it >.<, Ill have to do it tomorrow (Freggin takes ages!!)

You should read dexter0's tutorial on pointers:

In the first part, it's pretty good explained, what a pointer is and what it does.

With WiiRD you can always search vor 8, 16 or 32 bit addresses, but you have to use the corresponding codetypes (see codetypelist).

Quote*04*EF8F64 <-? is that a pointer or "the cheat"
(80)EF8F64 is the address, where the cheat is. The 80 is exchanged with the codetype for 32bit-write (04) (see codetypelist).

Quote28443A6E <-? is that a pointer or "the cheat"
(80)443A6E is an address, which value represents the button (or button-combination), that is currently pressed.
The 80 is exchanged with the codetype for equal-comparison (28) (see codetypelist). In words it would be something like this:
"Check if the value of 80443A6E is equal to 00000100 (or 100, which represents the button (2)). If yes, the button is pressed
and the next code will be executed.

Basically, there is no pointer in the code of Sammature yet.

To find the speed to make the speed modifiers, you need to run as fast as you can then search Equal, then get slower then search less than. Keep doing that untill you stop, search less when u stop and after that search again in equal. Start speeding up while searching greater than untill you get to full speed and search equal at full speed. just keep repeating. i would have told you the exact value... if i didnt forget it >.<

Basically my initial search was greater/less than as I walked along or ran

After studying the results the values were 00000000 when standing still and 3F800000 when at full speed so I just started again and searched for standing still then running the n standing still etc

you get down to about 19 results in the 80 range eventually

when running around i just hold 2 and it speeds me up and because I'm also using the joy stick that kicks back in when you let go of 2 so it goes back to normal speed an doesn't stay on

if you hold button 2 when standing still it just sends you off at high speed and you have to move the joystick to get control again

I've only tried it on link in normal form, doesn't seem to work through water

Feel free to carry on trying it, I don't want to claim the code as you started it.

Moonjump might be hard as you don't actually have a jump button. You might have to measure height by climbing up stuff?

nah u have to go up and down hills... black_wolf told me that climbing things might be handled diffrently. Im just trying to find the Z-Co-Ordinates and see if i can tell it to add 100 or somthing to make it go higher.
Btw. I didnt choose any of the 38F00000 addresses coz when i poked it, it didnt do anything. Now i remember that i didnt change the poke value to more than its max -.- . Mine worked with almost anything.... Im making a super speed for epona and for iron boots, Hopefully they will be done soon! :D

Epona moon jump :P (even if you not sit on her)
Midna character modifier :P
Link character modifier...

Man I hope I order the USB gecko soon :) :P

A idea for beta level/places what ever:
Walk into a house rar dump find a value that makes you warp to that house
Edit the part that says it is that house... and hope fully you find a beta level (else it it is still a nice enter house modifier :) )

REMOVED

The Super Speed code works with everything including epona and swimming. I'll still be making the super iron boots code since the super speed code doesnt speed it up fast enough.

Edit: i wont be making the super iron boots code coz it uses the same address as the super speed code

Title: Re: Zelda: Twilight Princess (PAL) [RZDP01]

Porting codes usually involves finding an OFFSET and then converting.

So get the rupees code for wii, and the rupees code for GCN, and just find the difference. Apply this difference to all the addresses in the GCN moon jump (if its an asm code you will need to disassemble first, not too much of a problem though) and it should work. If the offset isn't constant to the game however, simply write down the SURROUNDING AREA of the gcn moon jump, and do a massive hex string search for the same values in the wii version!
Title: Re: Zelda: Twilight Princess (PAL) [RZDP01]
Post by: Lunar on October 27, 2008, 10:15:26 AM
Kinda found that hard to understand... So i open delta maker and put the address of rupees for both versions in and calculate the offset, and i add the offset with the gcn moonjump code?

GCN:

Offset = 726C8

the code looks like its been reversed... What do i do?

There's a value that is set to 00000000 when you're on the ground, in the air above it, it will be higher-- it's the distance from the ground you are.
Find that and you have the moon jump (you'll need to do an activator that adds to the value at the address).

Title: Re: Zelda: Twilight Princess (PAL) [RZDP01]

If you select like 10 of the 77 and right click -> poke
then you can poke them all to a value like 41800000. If you "jump" then your code is within those 10. ;)

This is called Mulitpoke. Personally, it's never once worked for me with WiiRD.. but I was told that it should be working. It might just be me but it's worth a try.

Good luck. :)

Oh, this is also a good way to freeze the game but that's not so bad. :P

Well i was trying to find a tunic modifier code but i came up with this.

Have All Tunics [Lunar] (Not Fully Tested)
0047A83B 000000FF

I think you have to turn the code on, then turn it off because u cant choose diffrent tunics with it on

Your welcome  :) here are the steps;

Open delta maker ..
Take a code that's in both regions (has to be the same code)
Now in address A u will paste the address your porting from
in Address B u will paste the Address u are going to ..
So in this case it will be
Address A = NTSC code
Address B = PAL code
Next hit Calculate
This will give u an off set ..
Put the codes u want to port into
Input Code  A side
And hit Convert..
There u are u have ported codes..
Note that it is best to only convert codes with this method that are in the same range as the code u are using to port .. so if your using a code in 00200000 try to stay in the range
00100000 to 00300000.. and u should be able to port them with no problem..

Note. Porting this way will Give u a 50% Chance of working Since u cant actually tell if the code is right .. u will not know the results till u test

it means that you need any PAL or NTSC code from that game so that the program can understand how the PAL codes and the NTSC codes work. for exampe; take any NTSC cod and The exact same code for PAL, get the adresses and input the NTSC address in *Adress A* and PAL adress in
*Adress B*. press calculate and a number should appear in the *Get Offset* box. the put the NTSC code you want to port in *Code A* and the PAL code will appear in the *Code B* box.
it doesn't work all the time.

*Adress B*. press calculate and a number should appear in the *Get Offset* box. the put the NTSC code you want to port in *Code A* and the PAL code will appear in the *Code B* box.
it doesn't work all the time.
Hope I helped. for more information go to   http://www.codemasters-project.net/portal-english/apportal/cmp_plugins/content/content.php?content.54

14000000 ValueVa
E0000000 80008000

If your trying to port asm.. well i dont know about that

Ordinary 1 lined codes

04PortPo ValueVa

I tackled speed modifiers and have made a new code!

Super Speed (Hold "2") [Sammature]
28443A6E 00000100
04EF8F64 43000000
E0000000 80008000
This is a very glitchy code. You dont even need to run when 2 is pressed, it does it for you!

Opps, Forgot to make a pointer for it >.<, Ill have to do it tomorrow (Freggin takes ages!!)

To make it less glitchy, follow this format below. It worked well for me, even when I set the speed to insane amounts (around 20x the normal speed). My code is for NTSC-US (v1), but you could apply the concept to PAL as well.

Speed Modifier (Press C, Z, and 2 to turn off/on) [hawkeye2777]
2844BB66 00006100 //Button Activator for C+Z+2
CC000000 00000000 //on/off switch
48000000 8044B5CC //Pointer for Speed address
DE000000 80008180
2244BBC8 00000000 //Checks if Analog stick is pressed in any direction
14002F0C xxxxxxxx //Modifies speed to XXXXXXXX if above line is true
2044BBC8 00000000 //Checks if Analog stick is not pressed
14002F0C 00000000 //Stops you if above line is true
E0000000 80008000

Possible values for xxxxxxxxx (Floating Point):
x0.5 - 4180CCCD (Normal indoor walking speed)
x1.0 - 41B80000 (Normal running speed)
x1.5 - 420A0000
x2.0 - 42380000
x3.0 - 428A0000
x4.0 - 42B80000
x5.0 - 42E60000

How to find the addresses:

Speed Address: When standing still, do an Equal To search (32-bit) for 00000000. Then, when running at full speed (with human Link outside of buildings), do an Equal To search for 41B80000. Repeat that until you narrow the results to a desirable amount. Once you do that, poke each of the addresses to 41B80000, and if one makes you move slightly, you found your desired address. Since you need a pointer, repeat these steps again in a different area.

Address that stores one of the Analog Stick values: This can be a bit harder to find, but shouldn't be that hard.

Quote from: hawkeye2777Analog Stick on Nunchuck

Address 1 (all the way pressed):
3F800000 - Up
BF800000 - Down
80000000 - Left/Right
00000000 - Nothing pressed
From GSCentral (http://board.gscentral.org/showpost.php?p=130809&postcount=3)

This is the address you'll need to search for. There should be several addresses that should work.

So, to recap: find the speed address pointer, and find the activator for the Analog Stick. Let me know if you need any further help, and I'll try to help you out (as I am bad at explaining things sometimes). ;)

Hey Lunar, I'm not sure if it's the same in PAL, but I just found that the Speed Mod and the Moon Jump both share the same pointer (in NTSC-US v1, it's 8044B5CC), but have different offsets. That should help you in finding the Speed Mod for PAL. ;)

I'll try and make the Wet and Link's Color modifers up soon.
For the wet codes i have to NTSC codes if you wanted to port them because i heard that it's easier to port codes than to make them.

Damn. they're some of the codes that I wanted, especially the instant transform and ganon's sword. oh well. here are some that i would like ported;

Hero's Clothes are White (Glowing) [hawkeye2777]
48000000 80497FE4
DE000000 80008180
120032A8 00020080

120032A8 0002EEEE
120032B0 0002EEEE
E0000000 80008000

And i have heard of a code that allows you to replace objects with another object (for example grass becomes cats). i many videos on youtube and i was wondering if that was possible. it looks really really cool. the code is called "actor modifier"

I have good news about your the ordon (ranch) cothes! I was messing around with some codes and accidently made a code that allows you to have the ordon tunic! :D
here it is:

Ordon Clothes [MRDSBOY]
0047A83B 0000002E
You need to transform into the wolf and then transform back for you to wear them.
WARNING: WILL REMOVE ALL TUNICS IN INVENTORY!!!

:D :D :D :D :D My first code! I don't know how to make the sumo clothes as I don't know the value for it.

:star: :star:Thank you thank you thank you MRDSBOY  :star: :star: :star: You finally made it!
I hope Link can still use the shield or sword wearing these clothes!
I don't even know how i could help you to find the right value for Sumo cloches.
Maybe a  save file like this! who knows!

After so long, i wonder why any hacker can't make a code for Link's SUMO clothes,or the clothes of ordon village! It's so hard for them, to make these codes?
I just wonder!

How the boob did u find this? ive been trying for ages :S

Edit: i found you and i found the same address, i just never thought of changing forms >.<

Oh, and Lunar. Your'e a good hacker, i was wondering if it is possible to convert a wiird code to a normal Wii code. i have a change grass to cats code from the GCN version of TP.

This is the Wiird code:
Replace grass with cats
08AC036A 18000000
023A5800 0000010D

This is the GCN code:
Replace Grass with Cats (brkirch)
Q6DG-BMRQ-J1PGQ
KPC1-TVNC-BPPC9

it is an action replay code. And also, i was thinking of buying a USB Gecko............is it simple to use?

ID of actor/object is confirmed by using this code.
For the modification of actor/object.

When you press Z(target), Rupee address is stored in.
And it is, decimal.
To use it you, Hexadecimal need to convert.

For example

Default Value
Malo = 023E42E8 00000260  (ID , 0260)
Zelda = 023E4480 0000027F (ID , 027F)

Replace Malo with Zelda
