Ok I have done alot of searching and I ve seen mega downloader has n64 snes cheats blah blah ok heres my question, the old games that you can download like super mario 1,2,3, can you use gecko os with these wii shop games and how I havent found any information on how to use those cheats thanks for any info you can give  ???

Yes, Gecko OS can load Virtual Console and WiiWare games as channels.  You must make sure that you have IOS36 patched with ES_Identify in order to load channels.  See the following Wii Help topic for more info.

the iso 36 i have i made sure of that when I had to reinstall hb but how do you launch the game from gecko if it looks for a disk

Not ISO.  IOS.

Everyone has IOS36, or at least they should.  However, IOS36 needs a patch that allows Gecko OS to identify itself as the VC or WW game and access saves etc.  Not everyone has this patch.  The link I provided contains details on patching your IOS36.

VC and WW games do not require discs because they are downloaded from the Shop Channel.

Gecko OS can load any disc-based game out of the box.

ok so may require another patch then is it ava. hope I can get it off the hb program browser I havent checked in a while and the IOS was a typo :)

Clarification to readers: Any disc-based Wii game regardless of region. This (unfortunately) doesn't include GCN games.
