Animal Crossing: City Folk WiFi not working!

I'm using WiiRD codes on the SD card, but t doesn't seem to be working when I WiFi, the game just freezes and I was wondering if anyone knew if ussing USB would be better?

some codes disable wifi, so they cant be abused.

other codes just work in your town only.

you could remove the check aswell, though.
