Donkey Kong Country Return: Playable with Classic Controller?

Hi guys,

there is this guy (http://twitter.com/BroadOn) who claims to be playing DKCR with his classic controller...i'm still a noob around here so i have to ask for help: do you think this is possible? Or is he just trying to make all people that would love this look like idiots? what do you think? he mentions Wiird in his tweet as a reverence...so perhaps you guys can tell me more...much respect to all hackers..

it's possible and he did it.
possible things involved, removing check that disallows CC plugged in. finding where buttons are read. changing button reads to take CC input.
obviously this is a very brief explanation, but shows that it's possible.
