Gecko 1.9.3.1 error 'no DVD found' when launching US Wii Sports Resort in UK

Hi I hope you can help with this. I replaced Gecko OS 1.07 in the apps file of my SD card with Gecko OS 1.9.3.1 and it seems to work correctly but when I tried to launch Wii Sports Resort purchased in the US on my UK Wii, I received the above error message no matter how I reconfigured it. Wii Six Flags Fun Park that played using Gecko OS 1.07 received the same error message as Wii Sports Resort when using OC 1.9.3.1. What can I do to play Wii Sports Resort?  I have not tested other US games that played on Gecko 1.07 but should I put Gecko 1.07 back in the apps file with 1.9.3.1 so that I can play the other US games? Unfortunately I do not have a USB Gecko. Many thanks!
