Ikaruga GC (NTSC Jap or USA version)

Hi everybody,

I've got a PAL console with Wiikey 2 and the last update (1.2) applied. When I run my original Ikaruga GC (Japanese version) using the chip or the Wii freeloader, it loads and works properly but there is a flickering at the top of the screen that is a bit annoying.

So, I tried to load it with the Gecko OS and the flickering disappeared but when I press to start a new game, the screen turns black and appears a message telling me that an error has occurred and that I have to turn the power off. I have tested it with the USA version and it does the same.

Anybody can help me?

Thank you in advance,

Are you using the Gamecube geckoOS or Wii GeckoOS?

I used the Gecko OS Wii version but after reading your comment I searched for the GC version and It works quite well! The flickering has disappeared and the only problem is that appears a thin line (horizontal) at the top of the screen but it isn't so annoying like the flickering so I can enjoy again.  :D

I've got a new question. I've downloaded Gecko OS 1.06d (fixed) PAL ISO from http://www.usbgecko.com/manual.htm and I have burnt it into a DVD. This is the method I use to load my original Ikaruga but I'd like to know if I can use Gecko OS 1.06d (fixed) DOL directly from the SD Card. I renamed the file to "boot.dol" but when I try to run it from the Homebrew Channel I get the message "It is not a valid Wii application". How should I do to launch it from HBC?

And a last question. I've read that if you want to launch games directly from the SD Card you have to create a folder named GCGAMES. I have created the folder in the root of the SD Card and I have put into the directory an .gcm (Ikaruga image) but when I go to the option "Load files from SD Card" (or something like that) I can't choose any file. What 's wrong?

Thanks for your reply.
