Yes, as you can guess Imo a noob at this. I have dl'd the code I want and I have Gecko OS working on my Wii with the HBC, but how do I actually select the code I want and make Gecko boot the game up with that code? The Wii is 3.4, and the Code Manager is not working on it.

New Q: see what has been said below.

Romaap

you need to use Link's code manager: http://wiird.l0nk.org/dl/codemgr1.1.zip

after you put all the codes in it you need to export to GCT.
You need to put the GCT file on your SD card in /codes.
the name of the GCT file has to be the game ID, thats mostly after the game name in the name of a code topic. eg. Sonic Unleashed [RSVP8P], if you want to use cheats for sonic you need to have RSVP8P.GCT in root/codes

Melonking

Thanks but now i have another prob, non of the codes i make with that are working, at all... do i need special codes? if so where do i get them?I

Romaap

You don't need a master code or something like that.
Did you check the little boxes in front of the codes in Code Manager?
If you load the game in GeckoOS does it say "Codes found - applying"?

Yes I checked the boxes, I did EVERY thing you said. I have a folder called apps in the root and a folder called codes in the root, my gct file in in that. When I put the SD into the wii and load up Gecko with the HBC and load the game from that it says nothing like code found or anything it just starts the game D:

Romaap

are you sure the gct file has the correct name?

Yes, RUUP01.gct is the name. Is there some odd little thing that I'm missing out on here?

If it helps, Im doing this on a mac with a app that lets you run windows apps, but it has worked with things like this before.

Melonking

Oh I give up it's clearly impossible and will never work, that shore was a wasted 8 hours of trying to put in 1 cheat code. If anyone knows why it's not working tell me, then this wont have been such a big waste of time.

Currently "retired" from hacking codes.

Im using the very new one that was recommended to another person playing animal crossing, before I used this one I got a pop up when I lunched the app saying it was not a valid wii app.

Look all I want is to impute this:

Max money on bank [Igglyboo] (I made the button activator)
206E4EC0 00006E00
42000000 90000000
04E27D3C 0098967F
E0000000 80008000
   max bells in bank
   9,999,999
   PRESS A + B + Z + C + 1

It seems very simple the game code is RUUP01 and I have put that in in the game ID, Im am running on Gecko OS 1.07 and NOTHING is working. Does this thing actually work at all or is it just a big lye? I have now been working on trying to impute this one code for 10 hours. Now is there anyone who will actually help me? I don't have Gecko USB I was going to get it but now I'm not shore its worth it.

Ok, Theres a few things u need to check.

1: Check if your GeckoOS is boot.dol and not boot.elf
2: fill in every box (correctly) in the code manager before adding codes and making them .gct
3: have you tried changing the hook type? forced regions? vidtv patch on?
4: just to make sure you havnt stuffed anything up in the code manager go here http://www.usbgecko.com/codes/codes/us/RUUE01.txt , copy these into a notepad and save then open with the code manager and try it then

If these dont work somethings wrong with ur wii xD

Melonking

Thanks but you do know my game is PAL which is RUUP01 not RUUE01, but for the first time it did say codes found applying, I turned on region free and force PAL60 but the codes don't work. You don't happen to have one of those TXT things for PAL?
