Following codes require the gameconfig.txt patch

can anyone explain how to use the gameconfig on a actual wii and not a emulator? which of these codes are usable on a wii console?

AFAIK, emulators don't do gameconfig.  It's an exclusively Wii thing.  All codes on this site and in the geckocodes database should work on the Wii.

Take the text from crediar's patch file.  Add it to a file called "gameconfig.txt".  Place the file on the root of your SD card.  This will disable the ASM protection and allow you to use ASM codes like Bully's.

does this gameconfg work with hard drive loaders? i have the game riped to my hard drive from my disc and i don't use the stand alone geko channel anymore.

goemon_guy

Depends on the loader.

Look at whatever USB Loader's website that you have.

Normally, however, you can just put the gameconfig file in where it saves your Gecko codes.

AFAIK, gameconfig.txt does not belong in SD:\codes\

It belongs in SD:\gameconfig.txt

Then again, I'm only familiar with Gecko OS.  Other loaders may be different; check with the developer.  We don't support backup-loaders here.

GUYS

WE DO NOT SUPPORT BACKUP LOADERS ON THE FORUM.  RETAIL DISC LOADING ONLY.

IF YOU WANT HELP WITH BACKUP LOADERS FIND A FORUM THAT SUPPORTS THEM.

This one doesn't seem to work for me, Kirby just wears the hats as normal. What level did you test on?

Code for this is pointless, there's already controls to not use waggle.. look in the controls section of the pause menu.

Sorry if this offends you.

@Bully:

I'm not too sure if this is an issue with your code, or a side-effect of something else, but I got to stage 7 of Arena using your Infinite Health and Invincibility codes. Of course the bosses are completely random, however when I was fighting the Fatty Puffer, he became invincible instead of me, so hit-detection had gone away completely. (And only for that boss too... weird)

Which invincibility code was it, if it was my pointer one, I'll take alook at it.

Arudo

I'm using Bully's invincibility one that he posted in the Codes section...
Also an update regarding it, it makes some of the enemies in Extra Mode non-hit detectable as well. Leading to hilariously bad results.

about the gameconfig.txt file; I've tried to get it to work on my kirby game(by putting it in the root directory of course), but it seems that it does not want to read it and the codes I put in that requires the gameconfig.txt file does not want to work at all.
is there some kind of code or certain setting on Gecko OS to get the gameconfig.txt to work? I'm at my wit's end. DX

Does your gameconfig.txt have SUKE01: before the series of patches?

Soldjermon

well of course! I usually double-check everything before I start using the codes and/or patches.
even with that "SUKE01:" game ID is there as well as all codes that was in the 'krtdcd.txt' file into the gameconfig.txt file, I still can't seem to get the gameconfig.txt to work. *sigh*
