you do realize that they only hacked the psn cause sony was suing GeoHot, right?

And hell, someone completely un-related the anonymous could have done it, and made it look like they did.

James0x57

Yeah, they'd be a lot better off because a lot fewer people would realize that Sony is shitty enough to have infinite negative attention.

Anonymous didn't hack Sony.  They launched a distributed denial of service attack.

Someone else took advantage of the DDoS as a distraction to hack Sony.

Sony would have been a lot better off had they been PCI compliant.

This is really dumb. ;)
It´s like if Nintendo says: "Cheating online is prohibited and will not be tolerated."
But people who don´t care will still do it. Bans can be evaided. Words can´t do much in the end.
Sony just needs better protections on their system and not more paragraphs on their PSN terms of service.
Nobody really reads and internalises them xD
They probably already lost against hackers on the PS3 due to hardware implemented master keys that got found.

Also, they force gamers to send a letter with their personal information telling that you accept the new terms of service.
FAIL, buying the stamp will be your part aswell! Not sending a letter will result in your PSN account being canceled after like 30 days.
If I had a PS3, I would definetely be pissed off right now... All that sh*t for like nothing.

I´m glad that nintendo didn´t make such a big deal out of it. >.<

You really don't read up on any of this stuff do you? Nearly everything Sony has done in the past few months (and the last 6-ish firmware updates) was bullshit.

the vita looks cool though.

Something like this will happen with every great system someday. If the stuff was crap to begin with than you can't blame Sony. It's just tragic how it ended afterward... .  :(
