USB Gecko Not Connecting

 I have had my usb gecko SE for about 4 months now. It has had a problem somewhat like this before but it was different. Before the problem was the cord being stripped.
Well I just got a new computer and I went to use my usb gecko to get the drivers all set up since it has Windows 7 on it, but neither my computer or the wii would recognize that it was there. When I plug it in the light flashes quickly and disappears. I have tried many things such as putting the cord in new positions and trying different cords with all the same extension, but nothing seems to work.
If anybody has any tips, or help that they could offer, that would be nice. Thanks.

When the USB Gecko is connected to the PC over USB, in Device Manager do you see "USB Serial Converter" under the "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" node?

When the USB Gecko is connected to the Wii, and you start the Homebrew Channel, there is a little Gecko icon in the corner.  Is it lit up?

I will check those things out a tomorrow when I get a chance, and I will edit this post.

EDIT: Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I ended up finding it in "Other Devices" in the device manager. Right clicked it and downloaded the driver. Sorry for making an un-needed post. this can be locked
