Parasyte deliberately made an Action Replay code for Metroid Prime Hunters that bricked the DS when you connected to the internet.
So it is definitely a possibility.

Deathwolf

lol I know but I don't see any reasons to do this.

Deathwolf, I´m against ruining this game(s) by releasing the best codes.
What I´m personally doing doesn´t matter in any way, if I don´t share the codes.
When did 777 learn the F6 codestype? He talked about a regionfree speed modifier on TC2, yes.
F6 just helps yourself that you don´t need to "port" the code all the time, when there´s a new patch.
Maybe brkirch was unaware that it can be maliciously used for regionfree WiFi hacks.

Deathwolf:
Well, some people just really loathe anyone who would get online and ruin a game for others.

Save files would be much easier to corrupt than bricking the entire system though.

Bully@Wiiplaza: Yeah, Brkirch probably didn't think about that.. But if the game developers knew how, it wouldn't be that hard to break an F6 code.

I wish they would listen to dcx2.. but I also don't see the developers playing nice and only breaking it only when you connect to the internet. =(

Deathwolf, you need to grow up.

You ruin online games.  When you ruin online games, the company that develops the game may stop making online games, or they may go out of business if their sales are bad enough.  Activision, for instance, is known for tossing acquired companies to the side when sales start to fall.  Exhibit A: Guitar Hero.

You think you're just having fun.  But if a developer like HVS goes under because nobody buys their games due to online cheating, wifi hackers like you will be responsible for the lost jobs.  You can ruin real people's lives, the very people who bring you the games that you are playing.

I wouldn't brick your Wii, but I would brick your USB Gecko.  I hate people like you that much.

---

James - I would tell them that they must restrict these techniques to wifi only.  The only way any anti-hacking technique has any chance of real survival if it is wifi-only  If these techniques start popping up on single player games, then me, brkirch, Y.S., kenobi, etc will come out of the woodwork and fix it.

EDIT: oh yeah, and if they started trying to use these techniques on Single Player, I would personally start raping every WiFi game on the Wii and plastering it all over the Internet.  And I would recommend allowing wifi codes on the database.  Trust me, they would have a great incentive to keep this wifi only.

Deathwolf

o.O

You are talking like I've done the best online codes ever and I'm the one who hacks only wifi.
Have you ever seen any codes that ruins the game and which are from me? I was not the first who hacked the leaderboard on goldeneye but I changed my score back to 0 long time ago! It sound like you call me "Volderbeek" or "mdmwii". Take a look at mkwii codes and then tell me I'm a hacker who ruins online games... wtf man

Deathwolf: For no good reason, you continually defend online hackers... It is no surprise that dcx2 grouped you with them.

Absolutely, that's exactly why I had the "=("

Do it! lol That kind of code is totally allowed on the database but only if it has a really deceptive name specifically targeted to online cheaters. ^_^

Well.. I'd be on your side but only for games by that company. ;) The dark side of the force is strong with this one. hahaha

I never said you were the best Deathwolf.  You are one example of a wifi hacker, the one who is talking right now, the one who is defending other wifi hackers.  I would say the same to any of them.

You and others like you don't realize the very real damage you can cause.  All of you think it's just a game.  Some day, when you grow up and you have to earn a paycheck and feed your family and send your children to college, you might realize the error of your ways.

Deathwolf

I wish you could give me some examples for codes which ruins the game. Then maybe I'll realize what I've done wrong.

Was that an attempt to make me post wifi codes?

I don't play wifi games, and I doubt any of your wifi hacks would be on the database.  But it doesn't matter.  Allow me to quote you.

The biggest fail is the F6 codetype. That's why all wifi hacks are regionfree. But it's not my problem. I just started with it on CoD BO and finally bully,strakn,777 made their own UNPATCHABLE non-host codes.

Of course, if you didn't hack wifi games, then you would have no reason to be afraid of my threats to help developers make their wifi mode hacker proof.

James0x57

You might not have hacked game-ruining codes for wifi, Deathwolf, BUT you're defending people who do hack them.
We are strongly against it.

You better hope HVS/Treyarch/other Wii developers never take me up on my offer to hacker-proof their wifi modes.  I know more about the USB Gecko and the code handler than any of you wifi hackers.  I could help them screw things up so badly that you'd need to write your own Gecko OS and your own WiiRDGUI/Gecko.NET to keep hacking.  And I could stop the online cheaters from being able to use your codes, too.

For all you know, I could help them re-program your USB Gecko from the Wii side.  Do you know enough about the USB Gecko to fix it?  Think anyone who does would help a wifi hacker?  You'd have to go buy a new one.

Never said that you are a bad hacker? "re-program your USB Gecko from the Wii side" .... lol? Then you have to break more than 10 usb geckos^^ Can you stop usb loader users too? The problem... what about config. usb loader users or neogamma? Can you brick my wii system? If yes then good luck.

;D  ;)
[/spoiler]

I was laughing so fuckin´hard,
never mess with dcx2 ;D

You are for sure better than every online hacker since the experienced hackers on wiird don´t mess with wifi anyways. But I am 100% sure that you can´t create every code for WiFi since it´s not always possible (example: Black Ops, nobody could make an inf. ammo non-host) That´s not a lack of skills (or is it?) Activision/Treyarch shooters have a great wifi protection.
They are about the online game developers who get hacked the less.

Seriously:
You can´t brick someones USB Gecko/reprogram his gecko os/brick s.o.´s wii or make his codes unusable for others... if ppl. don´t use your software willingly.
The only thing you could do is to help developers to keep off hackers forever, if they can´t modify their gecko os to make it work again.
There´s still bootmii which is loaded from SD. It restores ANY nand backup and installs the working state again deleting everything what you may have done to their wiis.

Ok maybe you missunderstood me... I meant that I've started using the F6 codetype for HOST-CODES, the other hackers used it for the TC2 NON-Host codes. BTW I think you know that activison have a really good protection against non host codes so no chance.
And no I don't think that's the right answer of this. Just name examples and no codes.

@James: I'm not protecting online hackers!
