Is there any way to texture hack without an ISO? I have WiiScrubber (with the keys generated), SZS Modifier and Riivolution. Any help is appreciated.

You can use Riivolution to load the textures from your SD card.
I don't really know how to do that but you might find some info on their site.

I know how to load the files using Riivolution, but not how to get them on my SD card - you need to use SZS Modifier but you also need an ISO.

Skyground95

which game are you trying to texture-hack?

well I don't have knowledge on texture hacking Mario Kart Wii, but if you wanna texture hack it, you will at least need the files from the ISO.
One way to get it is to use CleanRip:

another way to get the files is to download the ISO from internet, which is directly Illegal and unsupported on this forum.
Either way you do it, I recommend using CleanRip :)

So, out of interest, what would a person with a fake version of MKW do? Is it even possible to texture hack a fake copy? I wouldn't think Riivolution can access a fake copy; it uses the I0S on a disk, doesn't it?

Ok, so how do people actually 'make' a course? It's one thing to change a texture, but to create a course!

And (this isn't meant to give anyone ideas! :) ) couldn't somebody buy a Wii Game, then make 100's of copies of it using Cleanrip, and then sell them?

Yes, but the Wii has to be modded to play those dvd's.

I don't know if you have 'car-boot sales' in your countries, but in England it's a common thing to see people selling these games as it is a BIG business.

So back to my original question; how, instead of changing textures, would you make a track like Mushroom Peaks?

toonlink444

Mushroom Peaks is a VERY big custom course. You will need to start small with a basic square. (Sorry) Any way download SZS modifier and get an SZS file. Which I am lead to belive. Open up the SZS in SZS modifier and open up the folder with the ... Then go to map_model.brres click on map. It should bring up the map. Open up a paint program and draw a cousre. make the background black and the course white VERY IMPORTANT!!!!! Then in SZS modfier highlite the polygon and click tools-model creator and import your map model by clicking culling clockwise-browse-your map(has to be a .png) click Ok. Now go to course_model.brres and click course. delete all the polygons by highliting a polygon hiting tools-delete polygon. Then find a polygon that has a high Kb and import your map model. Now you map is a track. now highlite the polygon go to tools-create klc and make your polygon a road and save. now all you have to do is go to the kmp and click start position. drag the dot to where you want your starting line be. Then click enemy routes and drag the enemy dots IN ORDER to where you want them to go. then go to check points and set them on your track. You must have a check point on every corner. go to respown positions and move the respown dots on the track. Now your done. thats a basic custom course. For more info go to mariokartwii.com and go to workshop. Hope I didn't forget any thing
In the begining there was nothing. Then it exploded

Well Riivolution only support retail discs, so most likely, a burned disc backup will not work.
If you're using a backup, you have to use Wiiscrubber.
Here's an advice: If you have the retail disc (or if not, buy one), you won't have to use Wiiscrubber and burning discs all the time :)

To be honest, I don't know what to do with an ISO split in parts...
cuz I ripped the game to an USB-hard drive
