The new website will hopefully be online today, I will have a forum on the new site but it will be for technical support and answering questions.

That sounds great :) Hope, you have fun with your Gecko then. Once you need hacker access please note me and also include codes in your note. I check notes daily, so you'd be hacker within a maximum of 24 hours.

Awesome mate might take me a while to get working but i will look on the forum of how to do it.  I a reasonably good with computers have my wii hard wired to the net.  I use ethernet over power connection for hard wired which is way better than wifi.  On average how long would it take a reasonabley good computer person to hack cant be that hard with all the info on these forums.  I especially want to do it as i am in the pal region ( I live in Australia ) and a lot of codes get left till last.Thats why i want to help.

Well, rather than getting a USB Gecko I would recommend you to get Cheat Engine or Artmoney for PC first. I know many people say "I am no PC gamer" which I can understand. However, I always love to warn people: the process of finding codes in memory is not too simple thus trying a bit on PC games (free trials or freeware games are absolutely sufficient) to see if you get the hang of it is absolutely recommendable and it won't cost you any money. You should start out with simple things: like games showing you a score on-screen or showing other simple things (if you for example download the Sonic Heroes PC demo from SEGA you could EASILY modify the amount of rings you carry).

If you decide: hey, that's fun.. then the positive note: modifying memory on Wii is basically the same process, it is just a bit slower and a bit more difficult for the first steps. The following steps (pointers, asm hacks) are essentially identical on all platforms.
However, if you intend to hack your Wii: make sure it is CLOSE to your PC.. it won't be fun to hack when the Wii is another room, in most cases it is even impossible unless you get 10 metre long USB cables (network is no option!). Best thing would be a place where you can use a PC and the Wii at the same time - TV capture cards for PCs are also a good option, you could play Wii in "windowed mode" then. The best option however is to have a seperate monitor or a real TV for the Wii while still being able to use a PC. And one thing is sure: laptops count as PCs.. so if your Wii is in a living room but you have access to a laptop - it's also a good choice to connect it to the Wii - that's essentially how I do it!

I have my wii right next to my pc windows 7 ultimate . I will by a usb gecko straight away because i don't want to miss out like last time.  I am only a part time worker so i wil be easily able to study this and get it working.  I have the hombrew channel installed on my wii as well.  It wont take me long to figure out how to use it as i have had a good look through these forums.

It would be nice if its possible to hack into the games on the wii via wifi, like you can send files to your wii on hbc via http://wiibrew.org/wiki/WiiTCPLoad , do you think its possible to hack into the current running game and make edits to it via wifi?

There was a project by megazig, mentioned on WiiBrew a while back, called MegaIOS, which aimed to do this.  To my knowledge not much info has come out about it, and it's still in development with no specified release date.  But there may be developments on that project that I'm not aware of.

FYI, you could have just Googled based on my previous post and you would have found it.

Anyway, no info about the project has come out since then that I know of, so I'd still advise getting a USB Gecko since it's not clear when MegaIOS will be finished.  Also, USB Gecko works on GameCube games; MegaIOS can't (for the same reasons that DIOS-MIOS got scrapped).
