I don't know why Super Smash Brothers Brawl would ask you to update again.  You could run the HackMii Installer, and post the "installer.log" file here.  That might give some insight on why it asked for an update.

Anyway, did you see those options on GeckoOS before the update occurred?  If not, then maybe it installed the older version of IOS35 onto your system, which would allow the Rebooter and channel launching to work.  I have used IOS35 for the Rebooter function of GeckoOS, and it has worked fine.  There shouldn't be any problem if it is using that version.

Just curious, but what System Menu do you have, and did you update to that System Menu through Nintendo, or did you use an unofficial method?

The only reason it would ask for an update is if you removed an IOS that is on the Disk and is "needed" for play.

Check out my site with codes obviously...

no i didnt see the options before the update. and it said it was using ios35, how does this effect my system and anything else?

and as always i have a official 4.1 system menu. i updated it using the wii system update function on the wii.

i wasn't aware of any of the ios being removed hetoan2 but before all of this i try installing the custom ios, failed however.I could still play braw before i did that update, using gecko os

It shouldn't make any difference as to what IOS GeckoOS uses.  GeckoOS uses IOS35 on my console as well, although mine is at 3.0U.

If you were completely updated to 4.1, there is no reason why Super Smash Brothers Brawl should have requested an update.  The only reason why it would want to update would be if something on your console was outdated and/or missing.

but i don't know what is missing that caused it to ask for an update :(. brawl isn't the only game that did that. >:(
