You all seem to want codes to make the game easier than it already is.

-How about a code that puts a time limit on levels?

Now that we have a code that lets mario run and pick up speed, what better than to add a time limit to the levels to test his new running abilities?
I'd say 3 minutes is a good place to start.

I don't need to test it I can tell just by looking at the codes, the on screen value displays of the SMG's don't jump directly to the value you put in, for some reason they do it incrementally

The code use little bug.
The value is 63 but it increase to MAX.
I have tested it and it's WORKS.

Can someone explain to me how to use the surface swapper code? I have no idea where the surface list values go, what I'm supposed to change and what I'm supposed to change it to. Plz help.  ???



Also, is there any way that the texture of the Cosmic Guide could be swapped to make her look like Roselina? I mean considering they're both the same model I think all it would need is a texture swap right? ;D

Vahkiti - the first step is to choose a surface to replace.  The second step is to choose the surface you the first surface replaced with.  Choose the numbers from wiiztec's surface list.  http://wiird.l0nk.org/forum/index.php/topic,5791.msg51067.html#msg51067

For example, let us choose to replace lava with ice.  Look up lava in the surface list, and you will see 0A.  That is the first surface, the one we want to replace, because lava sucks, it burns and hurts us.  Stupid hobbits lava...now, look up ice.  It is 21.  Then, take the original surface swapper code.

See the blue lines?  That is a table of "first surfaces".  Each surface, starting with 00 and counting to 2F, is already there.  Find the first surface you want to replace, which was in our case lava = 0A...

And replace it with the surface that you would rather have there, for our example this is ice = 21

Now, when the game goes to find 0A = lava, it will instead find 21 = ice.  You can replace as many of the surfaces as you want with whatever other surfaces you want.

If you look at the "No Deadly Surfaces" code, you will see that I have replaced all surfaces that hurt you with ground = 00.

Ok I get it now. :P However there's just one more question, has anyone found he surface ID for swimable water? I'd like to try and have a code like Super Mario 64 DS had for walk on water and swim in the ground. xD

Well i kinda tried to find the values needed..didnt write any notes so this is all i have left. I moved on to another game so i didnt finish this one. I know this does not work, but it changes the state you are in. But i dont think thats all whats needed. You can take a look around in that memory location. Maybe you find something interesting..

It takes a lot of time to write a good code.  It takes even more time when that good code is many hundreds of lines of ASM.  I'm sure brkirch just wants to make sure he releases a good code that doesn't crash.
