Hello, I have jsut figured out about USB Gecko. It sounds Very Interesting.
:clap

So, First Up, Is USB Gecko Just like Orcarina But Without The Homebew Channel?

Can it Still Brick Up Your Wii?

PAL codes are not compatible with USA Games, are they?

picano

USB Gecko is an actual device. $50 You could say it is like Ocarina... but it does require a channel / app to work as well. But, on the other hand, it was the precursor to Ocarina and is still a lot better due to the fact you can interact with Wii memory directly from your computer.

Anything can brick your Wii. From personal experience, atleast the HBC and Ocarina are safe. If you are worried about bricking, just stay away from wad managers (though, pretty safe depending on the wad...) and custom IOS stuff.

PAL codes won't work with USA and viceversa, unless otherwise stated.

(Might have some info wrong about USB Gecko, don't own one myself)

Thank You.:irule:

So, Should I get USB Gecko Or Orcarina? Which One is Safer And Better? Thanks.

Edit: Can USB Gecko Also Add Homebrew? But Only with Homebrew Channel? Does It Make It any Easier?

picano

Safer? Not sure.

Better? Ocarina if you are cheap / don't want to shell out $50. USB Gecko if you are tech savvy and would be able to make your own codes with it.

Also... check out the FAQ page if you haven't already.

Okay. Thanks Once Again. :( (Sparkly Eyes)

I'll Go see if i can add homebrew too.

Edit: Ya! IT Does. :)

With a USB Gecko you can find codes for your games with it and not rely on the usbgecko owners to put up the codes you want.
With Orcarina you can only use codes the usbgecko owners put up.
The usbgecko and Orcarina are safe and will not brick your wii.
If you have the money i and every usbgecko owner will advise you to get a usbgecko.
you can do a lot more with a usbgecko other than cheats.
Have a look at the Guides for it http://www.usbgecko.com/support.htm
I hop this helps :)
