The laptop is an old pile, Vista Home Basic, cheapest one from walmart. I don't remember how old it is though. 3 to 5 years.

There are a lot of house geckos in south east asia region, so I would guess you pick or find one, did it cut its tail?

You fell for a trap, USB Geckos are sold with a 1.8metre/6feet wire, that one has a much shorter ;)
