I didn't think it's possible to use it online. You don't need any other address or something like that.
The offline version should work online too but it didn't so it doesn't work. online codes = everyone can see it. Health etc works because everybody have another health value but the hook address of this code is every time the same. A code like that should work online AND offline so it's impossible...

Wow, that Monster HP Display code is wonderful! Thank you very much to the author(s) and all others who contributed. I deeply appreciate not only the code itself, but the range of customization offered through it.

I would like to ask about one part of the code, however; is it possible to limit the amount of monsters displayed? I do not have a widescreen television to play on, so the list of 12+ monsters takes up a lot of space on my screen. I really love this code and would like to continue using it, but it is becoming very distracting for me because of my screen's limited real-estate. I hope that there is a way to work around it, or maybe a way to only have your targeted monster displayed (this would be ideal for me, as I could scroll through them to target the one I like)?

Additionally, I asked this some time ago on this thread, but I still have not had any luck - is there a code to create button maps? I would like to use Classic Style 2, but the lack of a multi-tasking camera without using your index finger on the D-pad keeps me playing with Classic Style 1; it is very awkward for me, and it would help a great deal to have some way to remap my actions (or just to create jokers to emulate a button on my controller).

tl;dr:
a) Is there a way to reduce the number of monsters displayed, or a way to have only your targeted monster's info on screen (i.e. no monster list)?
b) Is there a code available that allows you to use button combinations to activate another button, e.g. press R+L+Right Stick left and it is the same as pressing D-pad left?

Thank you very much for reading.

Yes, a version of MID code that can work offline and online seems impossible. And yes, this code will only work offline, but it's possible too to make an online version, there's some changes that should be made...But still will work. And the "Changeable Target View" code is not advisable online...

@Aivyki:
Thanks to RRD for explaining the monster limit :) I kinda suspecting that the widescreen display would not be workable for everyone :(  So, don't worry I'll make a compact version of the MID code display!
And about button remapping in-game, I'm sorry I don't have a solution for that...

Aivyki

Okay, that would be wonderful (the visually compact MID code version). I tried to use the wide screen/regular one, and the text just kinda bleeds off my screen. I don't know if the font would have to be smaller or anything along those lines. Regardless, I'm still very happy with the code as it is. I've unfortunately done all of the offline stuff, but it's still really fun to use when I can.

As for the button mapping - I do appreciate the reply. I've seen them made for other Wii games - Mario Kart comes to mind - but I don't know enough to try and make them myself. I was interested in starting out, but I learned that you need to have a device/USB Gecko to begin tinkering around and begin learning, so I was a bit out of luck there (I'll spare the details of why it'd be financially illogical for me to get one). I've been checking periodically for them ever since.

Anyhow, thank you again. I'm excited to see your future submissions!

Yea the fonts kinda sucks! But that the font used by the game, it's the same font used by your character name, Cha-Cha's name, etc...
I'll be able to work on compact version later, but for now, anything else in particular you want to remove from the display...like "BP: HP/BC" and "CP: HP"? or do you want to remove the "ATK: ---% DEF: ----%" instead, 'coz this two has no purpose :P

I'll be able to work on compact version later, but for now, anything else in particular you want to remove from the display...like "BP: HP/BC" and "CP: HP"? or do you want to remove the "ATK: ---% DEF: ----%" instead, 'coz this two has no purpose :P
Attack And Def should have something it could just be a bad Offset ..  but who knows .. :P
But I'm already planning on replacing them with rage indicator :P, at the japanese site they say that they will add the ATK and DEF offsets, but ofcourse it didn't happen, and as I remembered it correctly monsters only have levels, i never stumble upon an attack or defense values for monsters....!

Then what happens if Qurupeco uses his Attack/Defense up dance? What happens if you shoot an Attack/Defense up ammo to a monster? There is obviously an attack/defense value for each monster.

Yea the fonts kinda sucks! But that the font used by the game, it's the same font used by your character name, Cha-Cha's name, etc...

Well, I really enjoyed all of the extra information displayed by the code (including the attack and defense), so I am not really certain what I personally would feel would be the best stats to clip; I am admittedly horribly indecisive when it comes to situations such as this. I think that would be best left up to the people who took the time to create/convert the code -- although, going back to the attack display, I some times wish I knew the attack of various monsters (I don't think it's on the wikia) so that I knew how to gear for them, comparatively. I think this is more an issue of indexing on the internet rather than the extent to which we should saturate our screen(s) with information, though.

I am not sure if it would be too much work or if it would violate the privacy of the code authors, but maybe another solution would maybe be to break down the display code for people who do not understand it so that they can know what segments to remove (to remove a stat) or what numbers to change to enable/disable a stat (I honestly have no idea of the intricacies, so I am just kind of guessing at the inner workings). Also possibly a way to manipulate the offsets - I think this would be especially helpful to people genuinely interested in the code, more than anything.

To be perfectly honest, in the end, I was overjoyed with just being able to see a monster's HP. Everything else was just extra .. awesomeness.

what is the hex for amount 15+???

I am sorry if I misinterpreted your question, but: the hex for 15 is F (0F). You would need to Google a hex calculator/converter to figure out how to add more to it without already being versed in hex.

If you have access to Windows, there is also a calculator in the accessories folder, which you can access from the start menu, or alternatively, by pressing your Windows Key+R and typing calc. After opening the calculator program, there should be a "View" function at the top; use this to select the various calculator modes. It will usually be the scientific or programmer mode that allows you to switch between hex and dec (decimal). Simply type in a number in dec/decimal mode and then click the hex button - it will convert it for you, and vice versa.

I apologize in advance if it seemed that I was oversimplifying. I try to be as basic as I can when helping someone, because I am typically unaware of their prior knowledge in the subject. I do hope the information helped - best of luck!

Edit: Sorry for making two posts. I went kinda braindead for a second there.
