Geck OS 1.9.3.1 Help

Hey everyone

I am new to Gecko OS but not the wii :P

Anyways my questions were how do I determine what port to use? Or what do the different ports mean? Such as VBI, WiiPad, GC Pad, GXDraw, etc. Also why do I get a black screen when everything loads? My codes are applied and the wii remote warning screens show then it goes black. Any ideas? I have tried different Geck OS 's and have uninstalled/re-installed it.

I am trying to play COD Modern Warfare Reflex and have working codes. I just need to know the settings I should use. My wii versions is 3.4u no mod chips. All factory settings. I use an SD card for my codes, etc. Any help is awesome!

***Update: I just tried changing my hooks to VBI and no help, however. When I went to unplug my wii from the power I noticed that the black screen was actually frozen on the Wii Zapper Use warning. Like I can barely see it but where it would normally bring up the COD menu it freezes.

Hmmm....

Did you try loading the game without cheats?  One of your cheats might be freezing it.

3.4u is quite an old version...are you sure COD:MWR doesn't require a newer version?

I play the very same game on a Wii that is still on v3.1
I just let it install the required IOS.

Also, I think you need to use the ossleep hook for it all to work correctly with cheats.  I only leave it on "no hooks" or "default" since all I want to do is launch the game and i've never had a problem.

You should try it first without any cheats (select to not load cheats in GeckOS) first.  Don't go using any online cheats, will you ;)  the game is *almost* cheater free and i'd like it to stay that way.
