FTDI - Other hardware - USB Serial Converter

Windows Update just got me a new Driver for the above. When ii first plugged in my Gecko I forced it to use the driver off the CD but will other drivers work? Nothing special about the Gecko version is there?

The latest are at this link:

The drivers on the CD are slightly older.
