thanks Redsoxrox. Ive been told quite a few time I have a gift for teaching. To be honest I have been a mentor to many people and helped them get started in different aspects of tech. Thats why I started BSoD.

Im going on a trip soon. I will be helping my friend set up a walk in tech workshop call The Loiter Lab, where people can come in an learn fun and interesting stuff with consoles, electronics, radio, wifi , bluetooth, hardware, software, and all that jazz. Im hoping to be able to get in contact with the school so we can se up a 2 day per week after school program for anyone thats interested.

Just finally got around to watching this.

I have to say that if I were to get into hacking, this would be the video that would put me in the right steps. Anything I'd want to do that's much harder... probably would get guidance from someone. However, this is a big help for people who want to get started. It looks so easy too and I mostly didn't know half the stuff you said you had to know at the beginning of the video to understand this. Point is, this video helped me understand what the WiiRD application looks like and how it works, which I'm finally glad to understand!

Now, if only WiiRD was for the Mac. Sad

I was talking to James0x57 and decided to clip out my segment from BSoD Episode 24 and make a downloadable and streaming version of my Intro to Wii RAM Hacking Segment.

This is a begginers guide to the basics on Wii RAM hacking, searching for values, finding pointers, and making simple codes. This is not aimed for very complex hacks and cheats, its more for the beginers that would like to get started.

http://www.bsodtv.org/node/21

I would suggest the download version, streaming video is always kinda' crappy. Either way, enjoy!

(can one of the admins add the HTML code to embed the video here? That way im not whoring out BSoD as much?)

Thank you SO much for doing the Video Tutorial (capitalized because it deserves it). Using just what you've shown, I think I'm able with my previous knowledge and experience of hacking DS AR codes without trainer toolkit for my own use, and GC AR codes, as well as having a pretty good understanding of hex, when my USB gecko arrives 1-2 weeks from now, I'm 99.99% sure that I'll be able to come up with codes for games where others have not ventured, or tried and failed.

Foxx, I'd really like to see you expand on this a bit. As in, cover some things that are beyond pointers if you could. Smiley

When I have time. This segment took me 9 hours to do (total). Between Dumping DV footage, doing the hack live via capture box, editing, encoding, transcoding, uploading, and creating the intro.

Id rather wait for a fully stable build of GeckoOS though. It seems things will be making a lot of chances soon, and I dont want to do a tutorial on a tool, and a week later its useless (the tutorial), especially when it takes a good chunk of the free time I have on the weekends.

Great tutorial, I enjoyed the use of the graphical interface and the game interactions. Suggestion, next time is to add a subtitle or closed caption, in your video, for the hearing impaired. Then this way everyone can benefit from your video, and probably wont flood the forum with a simple how to questions.

I could try to do that, but to be honest it would take me even MORE time to do. That video wasnt a simple 1 hour job. It took closer to 9 hours to put together. I am also afraid the captions might block some of the stuff on screen. Maybe someone could make a subtitle file for me that you can load it into your player along with the video, that way users have the chance to enable/disable the subtitle tracks.
